Well Mom signed us up for obedience school, I don't know what that is but at least my pal Brisco -(he is a Border Collie/ Australian Shepherd mix ) will be there too so I guess I won't be too worried. He is a good front dog and he is lots bigger than me too. WOW there are so many dogs in class and one of them does not like me at all. She is some big terrier mix and makes the scariest faces and growls and lunges at me when I go by. Brisco said herders would be too embarassed to act like that so I should just ignore her like he does, he figures she must be jealous, after all she isn't a cattle dog and if you aren't a herder . . .. .well.. . . . non herders just don;t get it. All that silly behavior and wasted energy. Save it for the job at hand and get in there and just DO IT.

My sister Baylee says not to get too friendly with non-herders because they like to pick fights and when you run circles around them (because we are super fast dogs after all) they will get mad and pretend you attacked, start yelping and limping and then you are in for big trouble. NOT ME .. .I'm a good dog and I stay close to mom. I really don't even like strange people petting me (unless they have cookies) because they always lean over me which makes me feel really cornered so I just hide between mom's legs and give them the herding stare. It works on sheep and darn it if it doesn't work just as well on people. heheheheh!!

Off to work, I hear mom's truck and I don't want to be left behind.

Next week I start my first obedience class. Mom told me I will be the best one there because I am a stock dog and stock dogs always do better! oh yeah!! I am all about being the best dog there. I already know I'm a good dog, now I just have to show all those others that I'm the best. I already know, heel, sit, come, wait and leave it and I haven't even had my first birthday yet. My cousin Brisco will be there in the class too. He is a Border Collie/ Aussie mix that his mom adopted after she found him running along a busy road. His original owners didn't care enough to come get him so he stayed with her. He was lucky she found him because now he has a chance at a good life.
I hope they let us chase the frisbee and tennis ball in this class because I love to do that and show everyone how fast I am. I also love to jump and catch the ball chuker too. Baylee thinks I am too confident and she always tries to be the boss of me. . . . so far I just let her think she is because she can be so grouchy. I think she is jealous because I'm cute! well, gotta go see what Fancy the cat is doing in the living room. I will let you all know how the class goes next week. Bark at ya later! Mags!
