Arrival Story:
We decided to get a dog because our daughter was in college and our son wanted a dog. We looked at the shelters, but couldn't find the right pet. We saw an ad for Westie puppies for sale- by a backyard breeder- Mom and Dad on site. We saw Patrick's little head through the screen door and immediately fell in love.

Bio:
Patrick has an enlarged heart. We like to think of it as a 'big heart' full of love and affection. He underwent a balloon valvuloplasty in Jan 2007. The procedure was to improve heart valve function and blood flow because of a narrowed heart valve, a condition called stenosis. The operation was partially succesful; Patrick still has to take daily heart medication.

A.-I love Patrick's Day- and my Westie mom and dad were from Ireland-(the breeders brought them to New York)
