Arrival Story:
When I was attending Johnson College for Veterinary Technology, I had a class called "Large Animal Lab" were I would work with horses, sheep, goats, cows ect... One day, the class took a trip to a sheep farm located in Hop Bottom, PA to vaccinate sheep. The owner of the farm had several border collies to tend to her large amount of sheep (about 400), Katie and Jeb (Kip's Parents) were red and white tri-colored. When these dogs were sent out to work, I was stunned by their intelligence, speed, willing to please, and humble personality. I thought to myself "wow these dogs are amazing, I would love to have one in my life!" My prayers were answered when the owner of the farm notified me that Katie was pregnant and she will be due in June. I begged my parents for months until they finally gave in. "I need this dog", I kept telling them. "Kip" was supposed to be born on June 1, but he came a day early, and was I excited to hear from the owner. I called her back and quickly set up a day to come and see the puppies. My parents and I took a trip up to the farm 7 days later to find the little puppies nestled in a huge basket with their mother. They were chubby and full of cuteness! From then on, several trips were made to the farm to see the puppies, Kip was the first one to lick my face and jump all over me. I still have my pair adidas sandals he chewed holes in. He had me sold. Mine forever...

Bio:
Kip was born in Hop Bottom, Pa on a huge sheep farm. His parent's are red and white tri-colored border collies named Katie and Jeb. Kip now resides in Bethlehem, Pa in an apartment complex with his brother, Freckles, and his roommate/"aunt", Danielle. Kip's owner, Lauren, is a Veterinary Technician at Wright Animal Hospital. He is leading a very joyful life!

Forums Motto:
"Mr. Neediness"

Kip is a very fun loving, high energy dog. He loves to play with frisbees and tennis balls 24/7. But, when it comes to obedience commands and minding his manners, he is a pro! He also likes to work with sheep, but since moving to Bethlehem I am not able to bring him up to the farm as much...

Kip started the day off with a good "heel" and a lovely "sit". I was so proud of him! Usually, the morning starts with him pulling me out the door because he has to do his business. I took him to work with me for the day were he got lots of attention from the kennel staff and technicians (which is much better then keeping him cooped up in a crate all day). He was extremely well behaved, which yet again, is very rare when he is around a huge group of laughing people (note: the people are usually laughing at him and is crazy ways). I even had him in the breakroom with me were we enjoyed a nice taco bell lunch and afterwards, a nap...
On our way home to Scranton for the weekend I stopped at Petsmart, so Kip can pick out a treat. Yet again, perfect behavior! People were coming up to him and complimenting him on his obedient behavior!
