Quick Bio:
-mutt-pound dog

Likes:
Squirrels--it is a classic tale of unrequited love. Chasing the cats. Getting an invite onto the couch, pretending he's a lap dog, following a scent, tummy rubs, and running "hot laps", which rival Nascar in terms of speed. Oh, and cuddling.

Pet-Peeves:
The cats he lives with being cat-like and not at all dog-like. Baths make him nervous but he loves getting toweled off afterwards , it's like a hug but more exciting.

Favorite Toy:
Kong on a rope or any tug toy. He also likes to extract the squeaky part of his stuffed toys.

Favorite Food:
Tobey is an equal opportunity eater. He does not discriminate when it comes to food.

Favorite Walk:
Tobey is more of a runner than a walker, he's got places to go and people to meet. He loves Kelley Point Park and 1,000 Acres.

Best Tricks:
A shake that is more like a high five. Wagging his tail so hard it looks like he's doing the twist. Roll over.

Arrival Story:
I saw Tobey's picture on the Oregon Humane Society's web-site and rushed over there to check him out. I immediately fell in love with his playfulness and his big heart. I thought about it over night and adopted him the next day.

Bio:
Tobey is always looking for an adventure. He is an excitable dog, easily distracted by scents, squirrels, birds, and just about everything else the world has to offer. He is a very physical guy; he runs and bounds through fields, buries his nose in mole holes, gets his paws muddy, and points. He needs a lot of exercise every day as well as plenty of mental stimulus. People that see him running and playing like crazy outside are always surprised to hear that he is mellow in the house. At home he is sweet and calm. He loves to sleep, have his neck and chin scratched, and put his head on my lap while I read. Tobey possesses a wonderful mixture of seriousness and frivolity, confidence and sensitivity. He is a very athletic dog, strong and often graceful, with just enough goof mixed in to be charming.
