Arrival Story:
My mom was at the dentist, and the dental hygenist's neighbor was looking for a home for her basset hound. I went to see Ginger and the rest is history :)
Bio:
Ginger was purchased by a single mom in Jan. 2001 at a pet store. The children were too young to interact with the dog and Sherri worked long hours. It soon became clear to Sherri that Ginger needed a change.
The rescue: I met her in Feb. 2002 and it was love at first sight! We used the crate for only a few months, and now she sleeps in our bed (or her bed on the floor) and has our room to herself all day. She loves it at the cottage because she has free reign of the house!
She can be naughty - getting into garbage (we now have covered waste paper baskets) and stealing food (we have to keep it up high!). She can even open the refrigerator on her own. She's also quite the princess - she loves being the center of attention and tires of guests easily...
Ginger's a happy dog and a great companion.
