Biography:
Ginger trains and competes in Schutzhund, Rally, Tracking and Obedience with her "mom" who is a Jr. Handler. Her main sport is Schutzhund, Which is kind of like a doggy Trialthon, and is the hardest of all dog sports,to get each title, you have to get at least 70 points, in Tracking, Obedience and Protection, all in one day. She has earned five titles in Schutzhund so far with high scores, and has also won High in Trial, High in Tracking (Two Times), High in Obedience 1st place out of five dogs, and 3rd place out 15 other dogs. We will be competing at the AKC National Jr. Obedience Competition in Orlando FL this December, it will be our first National level show. Ginger will accept friend requests from other Jr. Handlers.

National Junior Obedience Competition

This December, in Orlando FL, me and Ginger will be competing at the AKC National Junior Obedience Competition (provided our entry gets accepted) We've never done AKC obedience, but compared to the Schutzhund routine, it should be a cinch. Nevertheless, just to get her used to the AKC Obedience ring, we will do two local competitions prior to the show. Wish us Luck! And if any other Junior Handler will be competing there, please let us know!
P.S I will also be showing a Curly-Coated Retriever in the
AKC Eukanuba National Championship! Can't wait!!!

Ginger got her Schutzhund/VPG II title!!!

Ginger got her Schutzhund 2 title, in Orlando FL, January 13th , 2011, under the head judge of Germany. Her tracking was almost perfect with a score of 99 points, Her Obedience was pretty good too, but she was hot, so she wasn't as energetic as normal, and the judge took a lot of points off for that, and for the fact that she needed two Platz commands on the send-out, but she finished with a score of 89. In Protection, she did the Best ever, but missed two blinds, she got 90 points, and we finished 3rd out of 15 teams. 1st place went to Wallace Payne and his GSD,but they compete in World Championships so no wonder, and 2nd place went to our friend Beth with her 15000 dollar dog, so considering the circumstances, I thought Ginger did really well, and I was really proud of her.
P.S Ginger's favorite part though, was probably the Steak, Chicken, and doggy ice cream that she received afterwards.

Dear Diary,
The other day my brother Peppermint, was killed by a car, while on a walk. Me and my family where devastated. One moment he was happily sniffing a plant, and then he's lying dead on the road. That was the WORST walk EVER. He had an agility trial that day too. And he was going to earn his first title, but he never got too. I miss him a lot.
