Hello Furiends:

I will be fifteen (15) years young in just a short while! I had a good life on Earth and here at The Rainbow Bridge, I have been able to chase the Golf Carts 24-7! This was my excitement on earth, just going to the Dog Park, waiting for the park workers to go riding by and chasing them.

Almost thought last week my Mom would be joining me but she didn't. This was good, Mom has a lot to do with that Red Dog yet and well, you know.

Thank You to all who have helped me celebrate over the years and here is hoping Dogster is back up and running, like it used to be with NEW backgrounds!

May all of my furiends have a Blessed Holiday!

Scarlett

Hello Fellow Furs!

Finally, after being oh-so-patient, I am a DDP! All the furs here at The Rainbow Bridge, were wondering when I would have my turn! Now, today, I am a DDP!

Glad my Mom was able to return to Dogster and go through things. We've been trying since Friday and haven't been able to get on to Dogster. We tried all of our Internet connections, nothing worked. Then, Mom was wondering today if it was OK and we tried and POOF! - it worked! This is just about as exciting as me being a DDP!

I received a Pink Ribbon from the Family of Sammy Jo! Thank You!

Elise got it wrong, I've only had a DDP today, but you know what? That is OK, I am a DDP and I feel wonderful!

Here at The Rainbow Bridge, we have been celebrating over Elise but now, today, we can celebrate for me! WOO-HOO!!!!

Hello Furs -

Have I been forgotten? I've posted things in my diary yet, my sisfurs get recognized. What about me? What about me?

OMD Is it true? I can't belive it!

I was a part of my Mom's life, everyday, we went to the Dog Park, we had a great time. I chased the golf carts the park employees drove. I love them and did it up to and including my last day.

My Mom isn't as close to her current fur as we were. Although, they do go more places! I was born in CA. Mom wasn't too fond of it when she was there initially, howevfur, her desire to return is potent.

Have a Blessed Day!

After the Resurrection

To all of my Christian Furiends, Please Have a Blessed Week!

Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus told them to go. When they saw him, they worshipped him, but some doubted. Jesus came near and spoke to them, “I’ve received all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything that I’ve commanded you. Look, I myself will be with you every day until the end of this present age.” — Matthew 28:16-20

The book of Mark is similarly brief in discussing Jesus’ words and actions after Easter. Like Matthew above, Mark concludes with Jesus’ final command to his followers, known as the “Great Commission” (although as noted in the text, some of the earliest Bible manuscripts don’t include this postlude):

Afterward he appeared to the eleven themselves as they were reclining at table, and he rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they had not believed those who saw him after he had risen. And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by accompanying signs. — Mark 16:14-20

The gospel of Luke spends just a few words on Jesus’ ascent to heaven some time after Easter. Speaking to his disciples, Jesus says:

“I’m sending you what my Father promised. Wait here in the city until you receive power from heaven.”

Then Jesus took them to a place near Bethany. There he raised his hands and blessed them. While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken to heaven.

The disciples worshiped him and were overjoyed as they went back to Jerusalem. They were always in the temple, where they praised God. — Luke 24:49-53

The book of John goes into more detail, relating a powerful story about Jesus’ meeting with Peter (the disciple who, out of fear for his own life, denied knowing Jesus three times during the events of Easter). Here’s the key exchange from that story:

When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?”

“Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love you.”

Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.”

Again Jesus said, “Simon son of John, do you love me?”

He answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.”

Jesus said, “Take care of my sheep.”

The third time he said to him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?”

Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, “Do you love me?” He said, “Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you.”

Jesus said, “Feed my sheep.” — from John 21

The gospel of John then concludes:

Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written. — John 21:25

"I am the way and the truth and the life, No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him."

"But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgien; he is guilty of an eternal sin."

Happy Easter!

To all of my Christian Furiends -

Isaiah 26:19

Your dead will live; Their corpses will rise. You who lie in the dust, awake and shout for joy, For your dew is as the dew of the dawn, And the earth will give birth to the departed spirits.

Acts 13:34-35

"And as for the fact that He raised Him up from the dead, no more to return to decay, He has spoken in this way: 'I will give you the holy and sure blessings of David.' "Therefore He also says in another [Psalm], 'Thou wilt not allow Thy Holy One to undergo decay.'

Jesus Foretold his own Resurrection

Matthew 20:18-19

"Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem; and the Son of Man will be delivered to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn Him to death, and will deliver Him to the Gentiles to mock and scourge and crucify Him, and on the third day He will be raised up."

Mark 9:9

And as they were coming down from the mountain, He gave them orders not to relate to anyone what they had seen, until the Son of Man should rise from the dead.

John 10:17-18

"For this reason the Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. "No one has taken it away from Me, but I lay it down on My own initiative. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This commandment I received from My Father."

The Resurrection

Luke 24:1-12

But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they came to the tomb, bringing the spices which they had prepared. And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. And it happened that while they were perplexed about this, behold, two men suddenly stood near them in dazzling apparel; and as the women were terrified and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, "Why do you seek the living One among the dead? "He is not here, but He has risen. Remember how He spoke to you while He was still in Galilee, saying that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again." And they remembered His words, and returned from the tomb and reported all these things to the eleven and to all the rest. Now they were Mary Magdalene and Joanna and Mary the mother of James; also the other women with them were telling these things to the apostles. And these words appeared to them as nonsense, and they would not believe them. But Peter arose and ran to the tomb; stooping and looking in, he saw the linen wrappings only; and he went away to his home, marveling at that which had happened.

Mark 16:6

And he said to them, "Do not be amazed; you are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He has risen; He is not here; behold, here is the place where they laid Him.
Easter Bible Verses- The Importance of the Resurrection

The Importance of the Resurrection- Eternal Life

1 John 2:25

And this is the promise which He Himself made to us: eternal life.

John 3:16-17

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through Him.

1 Corinthians 15:16-20

For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised; and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. If we have hoped in Christ in this life only, we are of all men most to be pitied. But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep.

Easter is to celebrate the most important event in history, the resurrection of Jesus Christ. I pray you found these Bible Verses helpful to better understand and rejoice in Jesus.

Have a Blessed Easter!

"I tell you the truth, all the sins and blasphemies of men will be forgiven them. But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of an eternal sin." Mark 3:28-29

Jesus Rises from the Dead

The Resurrection

After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone annd sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men. The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: 'He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.' Now I have told you." Matthew 28:1-7

When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go to anoint Jesus' body. Mark 16:1

On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, "Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.'" Then they remembered his words. When they came back from the tomb, they told all these things to the Eleven and to all the others. It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the others with them who told this to the apostles. But they did not believe the women, because their words seemed to them like nonsense. Peter, however, got up and ran to the tomb. Bending over, he saw the strips of linen lying by themselves, and he went away, wondering to himself what had happened. Luke 24:1-12

Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance. So she came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple the one Jesus loved, and said, "They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don't know where they have put him!" So Peter and the other disciple started for the tomb. Both were running, but the other disciple out ran Peter and reached the tomb first. He bent over and looked in at the strips of linen lying there but did not go in. Then Simon Peter, who was behind him, arrived and went into the tomb. He saw the strips of linen lying there, as well as the burial cloth that had been around Jesus' head. The cloth was folded up by itself, separate from the linen. Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed. (They still did not understand from Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead.) John 20:1-9

Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come. Matthew 12:32

Events Following Jesus Death

At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook and the rocks split. The tombs broke open and the bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life.
