My Life

I came into my Mom's life after her previous Doberman was killed by a drunk driver. I was only 9 weeks old and the start for me was rough, but because my Mom loved me, we made it through. The breeder Mom got me from wasn't a very good one and even though the breeder said she had done all sorts of things for me and my siblings to prevent diseases, she obviously didn't. We moved on and like I said, I was better in no time. We went to the dog park everyday - twice! When we moved from CA to IL (that was really tough) there weren't any dog parks around. We were only in IL for a few months (it was nasty cold there!!!) and moved to FL. We found the dog park on the second day and again, I went twice a day. We had fun everyday! I even learned to chase golf carts which kept me in shape. I was glad, I really like junk food and my Mom would give me what ever I wanted. When I was attacked 5 weeks before I died, my Mom fought to have that nasty dog restricted, but living where we did (Pasco County, FL) we were kind of stuck. Glad my Mom got Elise, I know she was lonely, she spoke to me every night when she was alone and she was so very sad. Now, she isn't so sad but I know she would do anything to have me back. I wish I could come back to her, but, I'll wait at the Rainbow Bridge for her and while I'm waiting, I'll chase golf carts and lay in the sun until we meet again. Meanwhile, I'll guide Elise in being the best Service Dog she can be!!!!

My Mom just received a message from our cousin. It seems our cousin, Zoie is missing. Dog Napped!

Everyone needs to be on the look out for Zoie! We need to return her to her loved ones. Jack, her Mom, her husband (Teddy!) and all the chicks in the yard!

Help bring Zoie home, where she belongs!

Our bestest friend, and cousin, Zoie has been found and is home where she belongs.

Zoie was missed so much and now, everyone is happy. We thank God Zoie is home with her furmily!

Gone with the Wind

Last night, my Mom was up late watching Gone with the Wind. You see, this is the movie that inspired my Mom to give me my name, Scarlett. Mom has always said if she had a daughter, she would name her Scarlett. Huuuuuuman children not being in my Mom's future, I came along and she knew exactly what to name me. Mom's first Doberman was Heidi, who Mom thought she was going to name Gretchen, you know, German dog, German name, German Mom. Someone said to my Mom when she was only with her 2 days she didn't look like a Gretchen, she looked like a Heidi, thereafter, Heidi was the name!

Mom just loves Gone with the Wind and TCM had it on last night, which was nice. I am honored Mom named me after Vivian Leigh's character!

Today, we learned one of our pals was diagnosed with cancer. Why doesn't this go and bother someone else? Yolanda is our pal, 874645 is Yolanda's page. Please keep our furiend in your thoughts and prayers, Yolanda is very much loved, by everyone!

A New Soul

On October 25, 2011, a new soul arrived here at the Rainbow Bridge. It is Jarvis Davis - 182853.

Jarvis gave his Mom and the rest of the furmily a lot of love, along with teaching the ropes to Diablo - although, Diablo being young, it wasn't easy! Jarvis left Diablo with very good instructions on how to care for the furmily.

Jarvis is starting to enjoy his time here, running on all 4! Jarvis didn't want to leave his furmily - no one every does, but when God taps you on the shoulder, you need to answer. Here, at the Rainbow Bridge, all of our illnesses, injuries and whatever was responsible for sending us here, are GONE! We are free to run and play and just have a good time. I need to go and convince Jarvis chasing golf carts is such a good time!0)

New Resident at the Rainbow Bridge

This is always so sad to announce. One of my pals, Khloe arrived here this morning. There is always such a commotion when a new soul arrives. My pal will be going through all the 'knowing how to get-around' stuff and then, hopefully, I'll have someone who will love to chase those golf carts as much as I do! You know, I was doing this on my last day....... It is such fun.

A note to Khloe's Mom, he enjoyed every minute he had with you and the wonderful care you took of him. Khloe will be waiting for you, when you arrive. Until then, he will be running, playing and having a wonderful fun, being healthy again! He knows you miss him, he misses you too.

Another Year coming to an End

It has been 4 years, 1 month and 11 days since I left my Mom to come here, the Rainbow Bridge. This is a great place, don't get me wrong, I really wish I could have stayed with my Mom longer. It hasn't been the easiest for my Mom and I miss her as I know she misses me, we talk often. The evil one that came full-force into my Mom's life before I left, is still there. It will never leave. I can only watch and hope she will continue to be safe.

I am hoping this New Year will bring my Mom peace and continued safety in her life.

My Movie

Was on tonight. This is the movie which gave my Mom the idea of what to name her daughter. Mom never had a human child, so, when I arrived, she new exactly what to name me. Everyone thought it was due to the fact I was Red. No, Mom loves Gone With the Wind and so, I was born.

I had a wonderful life. I miss my Mom and I know she misses me.

I love you Mom, having a great time at the Rainbow Bridge. I know you'll be along soon.
