Arrival Story: I got Roscoe from a pet store before I knew about the horrors of puppymills. He was an impulse buy. And though I love him dearly, now I know about puppymills and dogs in shelters, I would never buy from a store or breeder again. I support Rescues and Shelters 100%

Bio: It's been about 6 years now and I have to say it's been an adventurous time. I love Roscoe more than anything; he's been a huge part of my life, including support and comfort. He's been my inspiration for my pet photography, my shoulder to cry on, and the goofy-goober to brighten up my day.
Roscoe the Racehound is a pretty great dog. He's more like part of the family than a pet, and he's most-often called 'cousin Roscoe'. I use him in reference to speeches on Spay/Neuter, conferences on adoption and protests against pet stores. And Because of him I've learned more about beagles than I thought I would ever know!

This heat is out of control! it has been verrrry hot lately, and boy....do I love it!
I love nothing more than to roll in the sun and stretch out my tired paws.
The fourth of July is coming up tomorrow, so that ought to be exciting ! Mum is thinking of taking me to the beach if it's not TOO hot
Well, mum has officially graduated high school and starting full-time into her job.
Hopefully she'll have her car by August && will be able to take me to work with her all the time!
Though school is done, there may be times when we don't get on as much.
She's spoken of bringing home a new pup & upgrading our plus.
All of this would be done, of course, after payday.
It's been a while since we've been on the rescue scene, mum's been dealing with personal issues & school.. school is done (obviously) but personal issues are still a factor.
But things are in the process of getting better and mum is ready to hop back on the wagon. It's been a while since we've done any serious rescue work.
Mum also bought a new book!
"Beagles For Dummies"! ....as if she doesn't already know enough about beagle; there's always room to learn more .

I'm growing older as well; mum has noticed I tire faster on my walks.
She's going to get me some new beds as well, something about therapuetic? For my aging bones.
But don't think lowly of me! Apparently we have something living in our shed & I have scoped it out! I've been on shed patrol for about 2 weeks now! Mum's decided to request a live trap to catch whatever has taken up room & board.
It's big ...so we think. We can hear it walking around & scratching. Perhaps a rat...a squirrel.. or a Possum?? We'll find out soon enough!!!
It's been so long since I've posted!
I thought I should update you on the lastest!!
Mum's been busy preparing for graduation, she just had her prom so there's little time to play around on the internet. Her job is going well, I have yet to be able to come in again & join in on the fun, but I'm assuming I'll need another grooming this month since my nails are growing long.
Mum graduates on the 18th! She's excited, and so am I.
She's also been working on a series of paintings of me, so there's now three more to add to the collection :)
She's planning on entering another photography contest this month, featuring ME of course :D
&& I went to the vet recently. I'm all healthy & check out well, the only thing is now my eyes are deteriorating and my hips are getting a little stiff.
It is to be expected though, I am growing older. This year I will be turning 7 ! Finally a senior . But don't be fooled, I still have pep in my step!!
There's also been talk of another beagley puppy entering the family, but we will see how that goes :)
That's all for now!
Enjoy your summer dogster friends & family! We will write soon!
