Arrival Story:
Bogey was a client of mine, I was his groomer. His owner went into an assisted living facility over a year ago and I had heard she needed to find him a home. I called her, and told her I knew of someone who had been looking for a Bichon. She told me he had already been placed with an older couple but thanks. A year later she called me to say his new owners were having health issues and couldn't take care of him anymore and would the interested party still be interested. I gave her the number and she called but called me back to say that persons life had changed and she didn't think she could do it at this time. Therefore, he came to me. When he came to me, he was matted, flea infested and had bald spots from the itching. This dog had NEVER been allowed to get in that condition. Apparently the older couple that had him for a year didn't take care of him. We were both shocked at his condition. I promised his former owner that I would NEVER allow that to happen to him and she still loves him and wants his ashes when he dies. So I consider Bogey a permanent foster dog.
