Baby was used for breeding with a Dachshund..weird! Baby needed a "C" section and poof was available free to good home. A rescue picked her up but found that Baby could be tempermental when first meeting her which made her difficult to adopt. I always loved Rat Terriers and we already had a little Yorkie mix about the same size. So I agreed to adopt her. The trip home was 2 1/2 hours. Baby sat in the passenger seat snarling and lunging for me whenever I made a move to either touch the radio controls or drink my cup of water. I felt like a prisoner because Baby meant business. It wasn't until I made a rest stop and left Baby in the car for a few minutes that when I returned Baby greeted me with shear terror and happiness as I re entered the car. Baby has been my shadow and my lap dog ever since. It Baby 2 months before she allowed my husband to touch her. Baby and my Yorkie, Libby get along great as long as I don't allow Baby to become to jeleous. Than the little girls fight...I have been bitten pretty badly a time or two in breaking them up, they never seem to hurt each other just me. It's been some time now since the "She Devils" have gone at it. We pretty much have it under control. Libby will be introduced as a family memeber soon too..we just have so many here at our sanctuary!
Bio:
I love to sit on mommies lap and I have been to snarl at the other dogs if they come to close. Since I get scolded and put in to my "room" whenever I do that..I try really hard not to get aggressive. I love to follow mommy all over the house and when she is cooking, which she does often, I like to sit and watch on the pillow in front of the heat vent. I have a new coat on now that I love. If mom takes it off of me to wash I shiver, so my room is now in front of the heat vent too! I do love it here. I have so many friends to play with and all of my friends here on the farm were once homeless like myself. I am so glad that I don't have to have puppies anymore. Mommy likes the cute little noise I make while I rest on her lap...it makes her laugh, that's the only reason I make them! I love daddy to now, but at first I didn't trust him. I don't know why but I seem to be more timid around men. I like my grandmother too, I like to sit on her lap!
