It has been a very busy week. Two days ago, I joined Dogster, ruff, and have made many new friends. I am still working my way around.
Yesterday, I slept. Then I woke up. I barked. Then I begged for a little snack before breakfast. Then I peed. Then I went back to sleep. I woke up and I barked some. I then ate breakfast. I was still hungry. They never feed you enough here. I drank a lot of water. Then I took a nap. Daddy came home and cooked. It smelled good. I barked for some. He didn't hear me. He is deaf. This didn't stop me. I barked louder.
Today mommie came home. I got excited. Maybe she has a pork chop in her pocket. She said hello to me. Then she sat down to eat. I begged. I got one tidbit. I ran over to the bird cage. No luck. I ran back to beg. No luck. Back to the cage. No birdseed on the ground. This went on for a while. Frankie whinned. Mommy took pictures of me. Then she put me in the kitchen. I have finally learned how to escape. This took me three years. Frankie knew how to escape since day 1 (show off).
I marked my territory in the livingroom. This is very frustrating. I have been trying to mark the new house for 3 years. Nobody will let me. The old house had nice puggie odors in several interesting spots. I try any chance I get. Mommie does not like her house to smell like puggie(???). I find this strange. Anyway, I could smell puggie - ha ha on her.
Success! I peed a stream from the dining table to the wall. I was tired so I took a nap. Daddy got mad. I don't care. I was asleep anyway. Mommie put me and Frankie outside. She didn't yell at me, because I am an old puggie and going deaf. Mommie cleaned up the pee. Daddy found my secret pee place on the throw rug. He washed it. Darn, I will have to pee there again next chance I get. We peed outside. Then came back in. I went back to bed to chew piggie and lull myself asleep. I will keep a watchful eye all night. Whenever someone comes in the kitchen, I will check to see if maybe they have a porkchop in their pocket. I am a puggie and never give up hope that a porkchop will magically appear. Snuff!

Well I've been tagged for the first time by Tug...I am going to tag my new friends.
Here are the rules: Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Dogs who are tagged need to post the rules & their pawsome faxts in their diary. Then they choose 7 dogs to tag and list their names. Don't forgwet to bark them a pmail that they have been tagged and to read your diary, or send them a fun Rosette announcing they've been Tagged!
1. I love my mommie the best
2. I try to boss everyone around here. It doesn't seem to be working (hmmm)
3. Mommie says I am a dominate dog.
4. I am hungry
5. I bark a lot.
6. I chew my piggie and make nhnhnhnhnh sounds. I fall asleep when I do this and dream about my other mommie.

This is a public plea. I am hungry. I am always hungry. They do not feed me enough food here. Mommie took me to the vet a couple of years ago and she got yelled at because the vet said I was too fat and could barely walk. A few years before that a maintenance person came over and exclaimed that I was the fattest puggie he had ever seen. Mommie was insulted. This did not stop her from feeding me the way she likes to eat - too much. But after she got yelled at the by vet, she has been starving me to death. Most people starve to death in a few weeks or days. The fact that I am still alive is misleading. Believe me, I am just a skeleton inside. One time she slipped and started feeding me more and I gained weight and looked, well, old and fat. Mommie took one good look at me and gave me a bath, clipped my nails, and washed my face and eyes with a special solution to brighten my coat. I looked 5 years younger.
Now she is starving me again. I am now a relatively slim puggy. But what good is slim if you are starving to death? I can barely think from the hunger. Mommie looks pretty lumpy to me. I think she is hiding porkchops in her pockets. As a matter of fact she looks like she is hiding porkchops in several places. She looks like she has at least 10 porkchops in each of her back pockets. I think she should give me one. I think if she gave me some of her porkchops maybe her legs wouldn't hurt her either. My legs are much better now. But so what? Puggies don't exercise at my age. At my age, you get a carriage for walkies.
For christ sakes! In doggie years, I'm 60 years old. I still have all my teeth and can still see, although I am a little deaf. Can't a puggie enjoy her last few remaining years doing what she enjoys best.....eating? And sleeping? All this typing is making me sleepy.
Quick, send me some food. Send food packages to Misty at POB Box 8, Bo.....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I had a good Christmas week. Mommy let me walk around with her while she cleaned the livingroom. When she turned her back, I let a couple of 'em out on to the rug. She was not happy. I had to spend time in the backyard. I knew better than to bark to get in. But it was warm outside. Eventually, mommy forgot about me because she was cleaning so I barked and she remembered me and let me back it. I think I am now banished from the livingroom, but that's okay 'cause I let one out last night on the kitchen floor. Daddy fussed, but I don't care, I can't hear anyway....Misty

Recently Mommie took a really good look at me and realized that I have lost a lot of weight. Daddy is very good about keeping me on my diet. He also buys only doggie snacks, which I beg for everytime someone comes in the kitchen. Anyway, remember mommie was yelled at by the vet because I was too fat? Now daddy is in charge of my diet. Daddy says only dry food. Not the rich liver-flavored food and canned food mommie liked to feed me. I was having trouble walking and getting up the stairs - just like mommie (arf!). Also I have good teeth for an old pub because I get only dry crunchy food for older dogs and a lot of water.
Well, mommie just noticed that I can run up the stairs. I can do my happy dance for more food. All the loose, flabby skin is gone. Mommie is now mad at daddy. She wants to know why he is trim, Fankie is the same weight she was when she was one year old, and now I look and act 5 years younger. She wants to know, well, what about her?!
Well, ha ha, on her. Now daddy has her exercising downstairs. Maybe now he will starve her, too. Maybe when someone comes over, she'll have to do a happy dance and beg for porkchops!
Mommie feels good that I look and feel better. She feels satisfied that I now have added years to my life. Just goes to prove that the doctors are right....weightloss does add years!!!!
PS Secretly, mommie wishes she could eat only dry crunchy food and plently of water so she can slim down like me! She could write a book, "The Dog Food Diet for People" and get rich! I would gladly trade her for a porkchop. Snuff!

Mommie and Daddy thought I was a goner. Mommie let me and Frankie outside. Mommie came back to let us in but forgot about me! I am deaf, old, and a little sleepy. Maybe I was asleep under the step. I can't remember. Anyway, mommie went downstairs but all the while thought she could hear me upstairs (maybe she's old and senile?). Later Frankie had to make tee-tee (this goes on all day...in and out, in and out). Frankie came back inside, then mommie noticed I wasn't begging for one of the porkchops she keeps in her pockets.
Where was I????? Mommie found me huddled on the stairs. It was cold out. Mommie rubbed me and hugged me, although I hate being picked up. I went in my crate and fell asleep. Daddy came home and checked on me and my tail was down (it is so sad to see a Pug tail down). Mommie and daddy tried to give me tidbits. They even tried to entice me with a rib bone. Nothing.
They thought uh-oh, this is it for Misty the Pug. Mommie took still and movie pictures of me! Mommie thought, she's not ready yet to let me go. She wants at least 5 more years!!! It was too late at night so they let me go back to my crate. Mommie worried all night and thought she would find me cold and stiff in the morning. Well I was cold and stiff. Stiff 'cause I'm up there in years and cold because its cold in the mornings. But I was my usual self - barking, trying to boss around anybody, and begging for food.
Ha-ha fooled mommie. I was angry with her and that'll teach her to pay attention to where I am!!! - Misty

I am getting on in doggie years. My legs don't work so good but because mommie and daddie make sure I stay slim I can still get around but I am wobbly. I fall on my butt when I try to scratch myself. But I still beg for food and mommy gives me treats. I still feel I am the boss. Sometimes I have accidents on the floor but mommie doesn't get mad at me. Mommie and daddie have to help me up and down the stairs. But I am healthy and doing okay.
