Arrival Story:
She's a guide dog puppy-in-training, so I received her from Guide Dogs for the Blind, who breeds their own dogs. She came up to me on the 29th of November, at 8 weeks old, along with 19 other puppies who are also in-training. She's a starter/transfer puppy, which means I'll have her for 2 months, and then she'll be transfered to another family who will finish raising her.
Bio:
Pomona is my 3rd guide dog puppy, and she's a spunky little thing. She's also my 1st female. She's a headstrong, bold little girl. She's very bad about barking, but we're working hard on that. :) Read her diary to hear all about her adventures. She's much loved, and very special!!! EDIT: Pomona was transferred on Jan 5th, and is now with her 4th family in OR. She's gotten better about barking, but still has a big problem with "indescriminate relieving". She improved a lot and was called back for guide dog training in the beginning of February '09. She was career changed for elbow dysplasia on February 27th, 2009.

Guess what? Mom got an e-mail saying that I'm almost ready for "Advanced Training"!!! I wonder what that means....but I do know that they are saying something called "recall" will happen in the middle of February. When doggies go to recall, they never come back (unless they're really old and just really happy to be pets) and their people cry lots and lots. Mom thinks that my people will cry even more because I was so difficult that they went through a lot with me. But whatever. I am looking forward to it. The P-Mo is heading to school!!!!!

Guess who's a finalist in the World's Coolest Dog and Cat Show??? That's right. ME. My raiser sent in a picture of me in her friend's purse. Man I was tiny back then! There's no way you could squeeze me into that purse, now!

Today I turn one!!! My raiser can't believe it's been so long since I was born. She says it seems like just yesterday I paraded into her life and peed all over the place. I said that wasn't nice, but she said the truth hurts sometimes. Thanks mom.
