New bone today! Got to go...lots of licking and chewing to do

A LOT has happened lately. I got a new haircut, and I look really great. Then, my people put a tree in my house! But it doesn't smell much like a tree. It smells like plastic. The dumb cats still sleep under it, though. I stay away from it.
Yesterday, I got some new toys! A new ball, some rawhide (it's all gone, I like to eat it really fast) and some jingle bells that the lady keeps putting around my neck, but the man keeps taking them off me.
Today I got to go for a ride, my favorite! One time today, the lady went in the car without me. I was really sad, I sat on the back of the couch and watched out the window for her. She came in with all kinds of bags but she didn't give me anything. I walked by her feet the whole time she was putting food away, and she didn't give me anything. Luckily, one of the girls left me some round bread, a whole package of it on the table! She didn't think to open it for me, but I ate a hole in the bag and ate all the yummy bread.
Another nice day.

Another day, my favorite!
Today the man woke me up early. It was still dark out when he left. The cats went out but I didn't even get off the couch. It was COLD and dark! Cats are silly. I don't know why he left so early, I just lifted my eyebrows a little bit and watched him leave, then I went back to sleep.
When the lady got up, I followed her into the bathroom and laid on the cold floor. I watch her every move when she's up in the morning, just in case she needs me for something. The cats were banging on the door when she went downstairs, I guess they wanted to come in. I like to wait to pee until right before the lady is ready to leave. That way I get to spend more time with her! When she put on her coat and her shoes, I followed her really really close, but she left without me. Sigh.
Nothing much happened while I was alone with the cats. That big cat George threw up on the floor. If he didn't eat so fast, he would not get sick. I never throw up my food, unless I forget and eat grass. Then I can't help it. But George throws up all the time. Like I said, cats are really silly. I don't know why the lady keeps him. He takes the best spot in the bed, right between her and the man, and he is always crawling on her lap, purring and putting his claws in her. And those claws HURT. I know. Trust me.
Anyway, today is the day the GIRLS come home. I like it when they get here. They bring all kinds of different smells with them, gym clothes and basketball sneakers and a strange dog and cat, and I give them the best greeting I can when they get here. But sometimes they don't seem to recognize how polite I'm being, jumping on them and barking "Hey! Hey! I'm here! You're here!" It's like they don't even know what I'm saying. But that's okay. I just follow them until they put their nice smelly bags down and pat me on the head. I love when the girls come home.
More later, the man just drove in the driveway and I have to tell the lady he's here...
