Squirrel is in the air!!

Ah, Spwing! The sound uf birds chirping, two-leggeds playing, and four Basset Hounds shooting out the backdoor baying and barking to catch that durn squirrel!! This will be the year that I catch a squirrel! Yes i caught one yast year... but dis year I will catch two or thwee or ten! Because dis year we have another weapon in our arsonal uf backyard hunting.... our brudder... HUNTER! Yes he is just a baby, and yes he is kind uf... well... slow, BUT he does everything we tell him to do! So maybe just maybe we will solve our squirrel problem, and defeat the evil squirrels dat chew through our phone lines, eat our dog food, and blow up our humans electric transformer boxes! I don't know how we will do it... but no longer will dose pesky wodents chipper at us and call us short and fat... no yonger will day underestimate the intellegence uf da hound! And no yonger will day wefuse to bow to the awesome power uf da paw!!

Hi Santa! It's me, Scout! This will be my 4th Christmas!! I am so excited! I've been a really good boy this year!! I've been nice to my sisters and haven't got into ta too much trubble!! I'm sorry dat I chewed up mommy's pumpkins dis halloween... day were sittin on ta table and they just looked so yummy!

Santa Paws Can I pawlease have:

1. Tons of stuffies dat I don't have to share
2. Tons of treats.
3. A warm jacket because I don't like da cold...
4. A new collar cuz Hunter has been chewing on mine
5. and homes fur all da homeless Dogsters!

We are going to Tennessee!!!!

I found out a week ago dat me, my two sisters, my mommy, my daddy, and my furless sisters are going to Gatwinburg, TN!!!! We are yeaving on Sunday, July 6 and I can't bewieve dey are taking us! Dey haven't been on vacation since we came into deir yives... and now... dey are... and WE GETS TO GO!!! I don't weally know what Tennessee is... but it has to be pawsome! Me tinks dat me is gonna get to pee on a mountain!!! Dat wood be pawsome!!! And me is also going to hunt a bear!! Dat bein if mommy will yet me off my durn yeash...Her says dat her can't twust us cuz when our sniffers turn on, our brains turn off! Me not tinks dat dat is completely true... :( We also get to sleep in someting called a hotel... My don't know what dat is... but it sounds fun!!! Dey has continental bweakfast... so me told mommy "good luck getting us to eat our Dog food! :) Me weally can't wait! Me tinks it is gonna be da funnest five days of my entire yife!!! My woofday is comin' up soon too... so maybe mommy will get us our birfday pwesents while we are der!!! Well's I's gots to go dig up my stuff so's dat I can pack it! We are yeaving in 10 day!!!!

Der is a Wabbit on da loose!

Yep... you heard me wight! Der is a Wabbit in my neighborhood!!! When mommy takes us on our night time walkies we usually see a BUNNY WABBIT!!! It is so cool! Mommy won't yet us chase it do... me and Gracie try to chase it but mommy always puts on her brakes. Durn Mommy... She say's dat it is rude to go in peoples yard and howl at der house. But me is not howling at der house. me is howling at da bunny wabbit... Mommy also says dat we are not supposed to start running after da wabbit when her is on da end of da leash! Her says dat we sound yike a fox hunt and dat it is embarrassing cuz we is in da middle of town. :) I told mommy dat I yam a HOUND DOG and dat me has to chase furry critters... But mommy says dat me has to act civilized when me is on my walkies cuz peoples not want me to have a wabbit hunt in der yards... WHO IN DER WIGHT MIND WOULD NOT WANT TO HAVE A WABBIT HUNT!!! Hoomans are weird critters.

Groundhog's Day?

Happy Ground Hogs Day everypup! Well Today is Februay 2, 2008! And that Pupperoni Phil guy saw his shadow! So looks like we pups are gonna have to be cold for at least 6 more week! I spent my whole day searchin today and did not find not one... Ground.. Hog... not one! I figured since they called it Ground hogs day, that there must be some ground hogs runnin around somewheres! But Oh well! I sure did have fun diggin around in the yard... mommy says I shoudn't dig under the shed but I thinks dat it is fun so's whats da harm? Mommy got mad cuz my feet's are all muddy. Me and my sisters sure do have a fun time outside... but mommy gets mad cuz we like to bark! I say dat dat's just our way of talkin' and spreadin' neighborhood gossip, but mommy seems ta think dat our howlin' might get on the neighbors nerves! Bol! Well I better go... I tinks dat tommorrow might be Squirrel Day!!!

It's REALLY COLD!

OK so someone needs to turn the heater on out side! We southern pups aren't use to this kind of cold! It got down to 13 degrees last night and when it is that cold it is really hard to go potty! Mommy bought me and my sisters a new coat @ Old Navy! Mine is black and poofy with a red hood! I also got a red poofy one with a black hood (Tee Hee)! Mommy said she got them on sale and that they were only $2.00! Wow... plus it's really hard to fnd doggy clothes to fit Basset Hounds! Bol... Oh well... I might go see my basset friends Ruben and Daisy tommorrow since it's a holiday and all and my hu sisters don't have to go to school and college! Oh well I better go catch some zzz's! Ahrooooooooo!

I Hope I have been a Good Boy...

So Christmas is gonna be here in 4 DAYS! I am so excited, but I am a bit worried about whether or not I have been a good boy this year... The other day at petsmart, I think I scared my people... I didn't mean to but, I rolled on the floor and somehow my leash came unattatched from my collar! Well I start running... not knowing my person wasn't following me... well before I knew it two of my people were running frantically after me, telling me to sit and stay, While my other person sat with my sisters, who were crying for me. I for some reason, ran straight to the door, and I was almost out when a stranger stepped in front of the door... My people where so upset! I guess the saying is true that, when a basset hounds nose turns on their brains turn off! Honestly, I wasn't trying to run away... I was just on a trail... My mommy says that the man that stepped in front of the door was an angel... I sorta believe her, because he caused me to stop sniffin' so my person could catch me. This freaked my people out so much that they spent $60 dollars on me and my two sisters a new, STURDIER, leash, collar, and tag set. I really am sorry about that, and I hope Santa Paws understands that sometimes our noses get the best of us! So my Mommy says that I have earned a buggy ride the next few times we go to PetSmart. Santa please bring me some toys for Christmas, I didn't mean to be a bad boy! AHROOOOOO!

Today we go see Santa Claws...

Well today me and my sisters get to go see Santa Claws at PetsMart! I am so excited... this year, me bein' the smallest, I get to sit in Santa's lap for the picture! The girls will sit on the floor in front of him. Did I ever tell you how hard it is staying beautiful! It is not as easy as it looks, sure it comes naturally, but in order to maintain my handsome appearence, I have to do several things! First, I must get plenty of beauty sleep...at least 15 hours a day... second, I must sun bathe for at least 2 hours a day in order to keep my copper color, (mommy says that the color is in my fir and the sun won't do any good, but I don't believe her), Lastly , I must be sure to get my exercise, you know I don't tell many people this, but I am an expert in karote...Don't believe me? ASk my mommy... My number on move is a backward kick! You see me bein' the runt, and the only boy my peple decided to take home, I have to defend myself... when I get in a tiff with one of my sister's I turn my butt in their face and kick em with my back leg! My people think it's cute, but its not, It's serious business! Any way back to the Santa thing, It sure is tuff remembering what I am going to tell him that I want! I saw my human sister wrapping some presents for me and my sisters last night... she said that she bought us 20 toys... I don't know what that means, but it has to be good. Well I better go!
