Arrival Story:
Maxina's Mother was a stray pack dog. My friends Mom was feeding her and letting her sleep in her boiler room. She'd leave the pack in the evening and go to my friends for food and shelter, she was no dummy. They called her Troy but couldn't touch her. She was scared of people. Soon she had puppies and I brought Maxina home.

Bio:
Maxina was my first dog as an adult. I'd had dogs growing up, but Maxina was all mine. I loved her very much, and I still miss her. I have these two little Spaniels now that I'm crazy about, but they could never take her place.

HIS JOURNEY'S JUST BEGUN

Don't think of him as gone away---
his journey's just begun;
life holds so many facets---
this earth is only one.

Just think of him as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.

Think how he must be wishing
that we could know, today,
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.

And think of him as living
in the hearts of those he touched---
for nothing loved is ever lost---
And he was loved so much.

I loved you best

So this is where we part, My Friend,
and you'll run on, around the bend,
gone from sight, but not from mind,
new pleasures there you'll surely find.

I will go on, I'll find the strength,
life measures quality, not its length.
One long embrace before you leave,
share one last look, before I grieve.

There are others, that much is true,
but they be they, and they aren't you.
And I, fair, impartial, or so I thought,
will remember well all you've taught.

Your place I'll hold, you will be missed,
the fur I stroked, the nose I kissed.
And as you journey to your final rest,
take with you this...I loved you best.

It's my 1 year annifursary at the bridge!

Exactly one year ago today I flew away to the bridge.
So mom pulled out some pictures to scan and post online today. She had not done it before because she still gets very upset when it comes to me. But I'm ok here, I am eating lots of bacon and playing with my new friends. I can keep an eye on mom and those crazy Spaniels from up here. I mean someone has got too, that Benne is a big trouble maker. I can tell that Cosmo is a sweet little dog. I am glad mom was able to give homes to other unfortunate pups and I know she loves the company.
Well I'm off to have more bacon. Don't worry, weight isn't an issue around here!
I will see you when I see you mom, and I will see you again. I promise!
