Tricks? He don't got to do no steekin' tricks ... does love to watch NASCAR and a big Longhorns fan .. can do Gimme Five, sit, down and off with the proper encouragement (treats), he also lets us know he has to go pee by ringing a bell on the front door
Arrival Story:
After our Westie passed, we decided to wait until I retired to look for a new dog. We decided on a beagle, and found Shiner at a breeder in the middle of nowhere, Texas. Brought him home and he immediately fit in, wrestling with Dudley, our big grey cat, eating anything not nailed down and generally becoming a great part of our family. Where'd he get his name? Well, if you live in Texas, you know Shiner beer. We couldn't think of a name until we sat down with a couple of cold ones and it came to us in a frosty vision.

Shiner's been through two obedience classes, was practically expelled from both ... like most beagles, he has a mind of his own and a determination to have his own way ... he has vowed to sniff every blade of grass, rock and tree on every walk we take, which means you have to set aside an hour to go half a mile.
