Arrival Story:
Dutch was found on the side of Warford, near I40, starving, and with an injured back leg, which is probably broken. He was covered in ticks and open wounds.

Bio:
Dutch is SWEET!!! He is nothing but love...He loves belly rubs and attention. Dutch has his all his shots, and is neutered and fully vetted. Dutch takes Glucosamine daily to keep his joints healthy. (You can get Glucosamine at Walmart for about $12 and it will last him 2 months). Because of his previously injured back leg, he puts added strain on the 3 good legs he has. He is still favors the back leg he had surgery on, but is using it more and starting to rebuild the muscle he lost while not putting weight on it while stray. UPDATE: 6/225/07 Dutch is recovering well from his surgery. He is starting to put weight on his injured leg and will walk on it as long as he doesn't get too excited. He is feeling a lot better and now wants to start playing with every dog he meets, which...he can't do for atleast another month or so. He is doing well in the crate and on his walks. We are leash walking him so he doesn't over do it and reinjure his healing leg. He is eating and filling out. He is SO handsome!!! 6/19/07 Dutch has a dislocated leg from being hit by a car a long time ago. The bones have fused together in the wrong place so he will be undergoing orthopedic surgery to repair his injury. We expect that he will make a full recovery following the surgery and some physical therapy. Other than being malnurished and having an injured leg, Dutch got a clean bill of health. He was heartworm negative and tested negative for tick borne illnesses as well. YAY!
