The life of a coonhound...

We moved

Well we moved from MI to Iowa. So our search for Leed is over. I have actually came into contact with 3 psychics after he went missing and was told by all of them that he is ok. One said he was with an amish family south of us and the 2 others both said he was with a man that had a coonhound like him when he was a boy. They were northwest of us. And that we would never get him back. He was well kept and loved by this man. Never left alone. So all I can hope for is that that is what happened and he is happy. His sister STILL wont play like she did before and she still seems sad. Of course she lost her Videlia less than a year after her brother. and now she is stuck with a hairy st. bernard that drools and snores and she is very prissy, lol. But inbetween sharing my seat in the livingroom and sleeping with my son in his bed, I think she will be ok.

No longer with us...

A few weeks ago our Leed and his sister Rogue decided to break out of their kennel and take a walk when no one was home. Some very nice people found Rogue and she was returned. However, someone has decided to keep Leed. We have searched EVERYWHERE. Placed ads in papers, craigslist, fliers, joined rescue groups that contact shelters, vets, kennels, etc for you. Contact neighbors with in 10 miles of your home. But nothing. We believe that since he is such a beautiful dog that someone has him. Either someone that knows he is a coonhound and wants to hunt him or someone that wants him because of his looks and how friendly he is. We hope he is safe and happy in his new home. What angers me is that I know whoever has him has had to have known we were looking for him...at least a phone call telling me they have him and he is safe would make me feel so much better..dont get me wrong, I want him back, but if I cant have him back I want to know he is ok. His sister is so depressed. She doesnt play at all. She just sits and stares. At least she is eating and drinking but her playful ways are gone. He is greatly missed by all of us!!!

Im feeling better

Well, I feel so much better. My leg still hurts a bit but after mom was forcing me to drink I decided I couldnt win this one and I might as well drink on my own. Tho, that stuff from a can she gave JUST to me sure is good, I dont think she will give it to me all the time so I went ahead and ate my regular food too. I even got up and played some with my sis, chewed on my bone and played with that boy. Mom got mad tho when i decided on my own that her bad was more comfy than mine. Getting on her bed is a special treat cuz if I get on it than the others want on and than since we are all so big that doesnt leave much room for mom. Plus our fur makes mom itchy and we gots lots of that. So anyways, Vi is staring at me with that look so I have to go.
