I was searching www.petfinder.com for a dog and I found this little guy in Adopt-a-Pet, Pet Rescue (the first picture under his main one is the one of him I fell in love with on-line)(http://www.adoptapet.luck now.on.ca/) so I sent an application for him. We were accepted to go and meet him on Saturday, the 21st of August 2004 and my mom and I immediately fell in love with him. Finally, on Monday, the 23rd of August we were chosen as his new forever family and we went to pick him on on the 25th. What a happy day that was for me and I hope for him too!

Bio:
Ransom is getting older now and has slowed down since his wild days as Romeo at the dog park. He enjoys spending his days out on the balcony, watching the world go by. He's very sweet and affectionate and loves to be scratched on the back of the neck. He will often try to bury his head in your armpit if he can manage it! He is truly the best dog I could have hoped for and everyone who meets him falls in love. He gets lots of attention from all the neighburs on top of all the love he receives at home.

Crazy weather

Wow we've been having some cray weather here in Ontario lately. It goes from +8C one day to -12C the next. Normally the squirels hibernate during the winter but during one warm spell they came out. Well, gues what I was doing? Hunting of course! Mom thinks it's silly but I think it's fun. In the summer I watch the squirrels in the trees at the park and they call me "The Monument", I'm not really sure why though. They don't understand, those darn squirrels tease me. They run down the tree to the ground but never let me get close enough to sniff them before they run back up.
Mom says I'm shedding like crazy lately, probably because it was so warm at one point. She keeps brushing me all the time at the park and frankly, it's boring. I just want to go play or hunt but she makes me sit and stay while she brushes me. She's lucky I'm so good.

Anyway, I'm off to bed soon so goodnight!

Not your average day at the park!

WHOA! There was some crazyness going on at the park today! My pal Sushi's mom organized a Shiba Inu meet-up group at the park today and boy was it wild! Once all the Shibas starting coming in, all the other people left! That was funny. They are crazy little dogs these Shibas. They were running circles around me! I didn't quite understand what was going on, there were no big dogs for me to play with! Only little ones to run around with. Oh well, I still had lots of fun.
I was even made Honourary Shiba by Sushi's mom! (she's so cool) My mom said she was very proud of me and how I acted with the Shibas. Normally I would be all over the little dogs but there were too many! Also, Sushi's mom gave me a BIG bone treat but my mom won't give it to me until Easter! Meany!
I don't think I've ever been so tired after a day at the park before. I haven't really moved since I got home. I've just been following mom around and sleeping in whatever room she's in.

Well I guess that's it! Thanks Sushi and Bonnie for a lovely day!

P.S. Sushi is in my pup pals, you should check out his page! He's really cool.

New friend at the park

Today mommy took me to the park (just like every day) and like usual I had loads of fun!!! However, I met a special new friend today. His name is Guiness and he's an Irish Wolfhound! His mommy and daddy said he is 8 months old and he is already about twice my height! He is soooooo big but he was very nice. We played together for a long time and I just loved it because bigger dogs are always more fun to play with. I hope I see him again sometime soon and I know mommy's little brother is really excited to see him because he loves HUGE dogs, just like mommy.
Well that's it for today, I'll talk to you all another time. Enjoy the rest of the week-end!
Kisses and woos for everyone
