Arrival Story:
I was at a horse show with my dad, and I went with a friend to help her pick out a puppy from those on sale. My dad stepped away on a phone call, and almost immediately I saw Emmy and just had to have her - she fit perfectly into the palm of my hand and was so adorable! When my dad returned, I asked if we could have her, and to my surprise he said yes. It ended up that the call was from our petsitter saying that our ancient sheltie, Gonzo, was very ill and may not survive. Emmy was such a happy blessing during that time, and such a crazy little girl! She and her dog brother Flash are completely inseparable and though they both live with my parents, they'll always be "my" dogs.

I found out about this through a friend of mine. A 12 year old yellow Lab/Sharpei mix weighing about 80 pounds was lost in Waco, TX on the Baylor campus early this afternoon. Due to the freezing weather and ice/rain mix that is now falling, it is becoming critical that we find him, if he has not already been picked up by someone. If you live in this area or know someone who does, PLEASE keep an eye out for him!! He is very sweet and answers to the name Hendrix, and has a collar on with that name. He just recently underwent surgery so part of the hair is shaved off of his neck. Thank you so much for your help!!! I will keep you updated!
