Running away, especially to visit the poor pit bull next door who is chained inside a fence & gets little attention from her people. He had the gate all figured out, but they saw him. Now they have the gate secured so he can't get in.

Ropes with knots, to throw & fetch

dry dog food, although he's learning if he gives me those big eyes, he can get special treats

Arrival Story:
Blackie showed up at a place called Faraway Inn in Cedar Key, FL. The owners are wonderful & pride themselves on being pet friendly. But they had other pets. I have good friends there who wanted a dog, so they took him in. They kept him several years, then he became aggressive toward just one other dog in town. They felt the best solution would be have me take him. He knows me & had stayed at my house for long periods of time. I gladly brought him home.
He is a wonderful dog. He does assert himself as Alpha Dog, but they all have it worked out.
Bio:
blackie has been trained as a Therapy Dog. He loves all people.
