Arrival Story:
I had a dog named Chipper pass at age 12, in Nov.'97. I was devestated, almost non-functional, as I ahve no human children. I had to leave town. I went to a favorite little place called Cedar Key,FL for several months. When I went down to find a place to live, as I was driving back home, Chipper's little spirit told me to go to the Humane Society, which I did. I almost missed this little black dog, but saw him as I was about to leave. We bonded & he came home with me. The people at the shelter couldn't understand why there was not a waiting list for one so cute. I said, Because he's mine.
He put his paws on the steering wheel & drove himself home.
Bio:
My girl, Enya, C.K. & I moved to Cedar Key for a while. Just as I knew he would, he assumed ownership, not only of me, but of the entire island. Which is why I named him C.K. He was featured in the local newspaper there once as pet of the week. He is a trained therapy dog, and has worked in hospice & nursing homes. He loves to go to work. Of coarse he is always a hit. He has never lacked confidence & runs my life very well.
