Not being able to get under the blankets, anyone taking her toys, when people come into the house and don't take the gifts she brings them!

Favorite Toy:
Whatever someone else is playing with! Especially if it's squeeky!

Favorite Food:
Anything cheesy

Favorite Walk:
Dog park

Best Tricks:
"Daisy Help Me!" - Mommy + Daddy have been fake fighting since Daisy was a puppy - and if Mommy or Daddy says "Daisy help me!" she'll jump into action and get in between and attack whoever is doing the hitting... Works too when other dogs play too rough.

Arrival Story:
Back in Octboer of 2003 we were thinking of getting a puppy for me. We looked on PetFinder.com and saw a pair of cute beagles that we were thinking of adopting. Unfortunately, when we e-mailed the woman she told us they were already adopted, but she had an 8 week old Basset mix that we could come meet when they took the drive up to Massachusetts. (This woman was from a high-kill shelter in North Carolina, and they brought their critters up to New England to no-kill shelters and family adopters.) When we got her, she was less than 2 pounds, this tiny little peanut... She wasn't 8 weeks old, as we had been told, she was only 3 or 4 weeks! We brought her home - and gave her a nice warm bath... Introduced her to the kitties , and made her a part of our family!!

Bio:
Daisy once played mama to a little kitten we had- Hercules. The ad in the paper said 8-week-old kittens - but we did our math after we brought him home - he was about 6 weeks. He and Daisy bonded very quickly! He would try to nurse off of her - and after a few weeks Daisy's body actually produced milk for him! She was so full of milk she looked like this little tiny cow walking around the house!! If you look at some of the older pictures of Daisy - you'll see bald spots on her back and neck - and everyone (even the vet) thought she had mange - but we knew she was perfectly healthy. We changed her diet to Nutro Max (from Purina Puppy Chow) and all of her spots have grown in!! When she was spayed they did a skin scraping on her - and found a single mange mite on her body - because they saw the bald spots and figured, what else, mange. Two weeks later when she went back to get her sutures out - the spots were gone - and the vets asked where the dog with the bald spots was!! Amazing what a good diet can do!
