Leave a bone for Woof Pack Birthday: November 23rd 2007 Arrival Story: Mellow-Siberian Husky/?. Mellow's prior family wanted to rehome him when he was only three months old, although I didn't want a male puppy, or a larger breed, turned out I just couldn't say no. I was told he was a Siberian Husky/German Shepherd mix, but now that he's grown, I think GSD is wrong, maybe Australian Shepherd?....
Caelen-Siberian Husky. Well, they say once you have one Husky, you have to have two, or four or six. True, so we started a search with rescues and breeders for a companion for Mellow. Caelen is part of a litter that was considered a mistake, his mom is a high percentage Seppala Siberian, his dad is from show lines....
Lainie, Luna and Lea-Chow/GSD/probably Golden Retriever, maybe Husky. These girls and their three sisters were rescued when they were approximately six months old from Kansas, the entire rescue was accomplished by Dogsters. Loki and Lena are now living together with their first foster mom in Iowa, four came here to me in Ohio to be fostered, I found Lainie had stolen my heart so she stayed with me, Mellow and Caelen, and Luna and Lea were adopted by a friend of mine and we see them quite frequently. The last sister, Letta, went to another foster mom, she was very shy and needed a home much less chaotic than mine, and she was also adopted by her foster mom....
Levi-Chow/GSD/probably Golden Retriever, maybe Husky. Almost a year after the girls' rescue, Levi's picture was discovered on the website of the shelter in the same Kansas town where the girls were born. He looked so much like the girls, was the right age, those of us involved with the girls' rescue knew there had been two brothers that we were told were adopted prior to the rescue of the girls, and we were convinced Levi was one of them. So we pulled him out of the shelter, and after some traveling, he ended up here and will stay with me forever along with Mellow, Caelen and Lainie....Doodle-Peke/Poodle/Doxie . Doodle lives with Luna and Lea and is the little guy of the bunch, much older than the rest and far less active now, his greatest joy these days is to settle in close for a pat now and then and to snooze....
