Arrival Story:
Well my first dog had to be put - down because he had Arthritis really bad in his legs, and he had fluid filling up in his lungs. plus he was 12 yrs. old when he died. He was a pure ,black, Labrador Retrivever. So We needed a new dog to protect our home. So we looked online at www.petfinder.com and found a golden sheperd and thought he was beautiful. So we called the shelter that he was at, But he could only be adopted with another dog. The other dog was to mean to us so we were look through the shelter to see if there was any other dogs that we liked. We found him! A beautiful pure, black, Labrador Retrivever. He had taking Obedience classes for 5 months before he came to the shelter. He loves other dogs and cats. He loves kids. He is very protective. He can walk very well on a lesh. He never runs off when we are in the front yard, we don't have our fence completly fenced off. And I love him with all my heart I would just died if I lost him or something bad happend to him.

Bio:
We named him texas because he is a REALLY BIG!!! As my mom say "He is as big as Texas."

My first bath.

A week after i got home, my new family took me to petsmart to get me a bath.


The first day i came home.

The first day I came home to my new family was so exciting. I was at the shelter in davis county. My family lived in West Valley City. Which is in Salt Lake county. It took a long time to get home, but first my family took me to Petsmart!!! I got so many toys. 4 tennis balls, 2 fresbies, 3 squeak toys, and 3 rope toys. And a GAINT BONE!!!!!!! It was 2 ft long. and 4 bags of cookies!!! and a huge bag of dog food. When I got home finally, the sprinkler in the HUGE backyard were on. I ran over there and laid down right on top of the water. It felt good after being in the hot truck for an hour. I didn't know but there were cats in the house. They are so small compared to me. I hadn't eatten that day yet, so my family fed me. That is how I knew I was finally home.
