Arrival Story:
When Raquel had an "ad" on our rescue webring saying "Tito needs a home," I instantly knew what home he was going to get. He had been found wandering the streets -- all 9 pounds of him. He came over for two play dates with Stuart Barxalotte and Wolfgang Amadogeus and it was decided he could make a spot for himself in the pecking order. It's taken a couple of years, but he finally is well entrenched and has even been seen playing with Stuart and Wolfie, not that they will cop to it. He and Stuart sure can bark a lot, so I think he may be on the Mexican branch of the Barxalotte clan. And there isn't a sunny spot or pile of blankets that he doesn't love. You can hear him sizzling in the sun. He has to be on a diet like one of his moms, all the time, because he chunks up really fast. And even though he tips the BIG trash can over to see what's for snacky time, it's almost impossible to stay really mad at him for long.

Bio:
He visits Baja Mexico often with his family and is always found to be sunning himself in the hottest spot he can find. Back to his roots. He is picture here on Constance's purple throw and Alan's blue leather couch. Both colors suit him, don't you think. Two brothers, Wolfgang Amadogeus and Stuart Barxalotte. Two kitty sisters: Norma Jean and Lylythe (she's from Hollywood, too); one kitty brother: Ludwig (who's deaf, of course). 2008 Update on Tito: We moved to New Mexico (7500 ft) and unfortunately Tito, who has an enlarged heart, developed pulmonary hypertension. We had a couple of hairy weeks there (one week in oxygen), but he came home (now on Viagra!) and he is doing OK. Not great. But OK. We are outside of town, on ten acres, and now the plants are blooming and poor Tito has developed nasal congestion from allergies. Cough, cough, cough. That was another hairy two weeks. We think we have things in hand and he is breathing well. He coughs a lot less and we have meds to help control that. Plus we added some HEPA filters and that has helped a bunch. We love this handsome little guy and want to have him live comfortably as long as possible. For a while, we thought he would have to move back to sea level, but the cardiologist was confident he would be able to stay in his mountain home.
