Arrival Story:
He was six weeks old when we bought him from a backyard breeder that was very ignorant on what to do with puppies. He was covered in ticks and anemic. He got to sleep in the bed with us that first night and has ever since.

Bio:
Calypso was our first Dane and was the BEST dog ever. In January 2006 he was diagnosed with bone cancer. I was heart broken. We knew big dogs had a shorter life span, but we were not prepeared to lose him at 6. The vet gave him 1-3 months. We pampered him for those three months, but he stopped eating Easter weekend. I knew it was time when he wouldn't take ground beef out of my hand. Monday morning he went to the vet and passed peacefully in my arms. Rest easy my big sweetie.
