We came across her at a shelter in Idaho, near my in-laws. Unfortunately it was clear she'd been abused, likely by a male owner, so it took a while for her to warm up to my husband.

While we don't know all of Ginger's ancestry, she does have a hunter in her. One day my brother was playing with her and jokingly pointed at a bird that had landed in the yard, saying "go get it"... well she did. Actually, she caught the bird in the air as it was taking off!! You'd never imagine her as a hunter, as she is very sweet and friendly normally...
