My baby Rocco has passed away...September 26th, 2004...He will be missed dearly...I love you little man...you meant the world to me and you still do!

Hello All

Hi, I am Rocco and I am a pug!!! I am not your average pug either. I have gone through alot in my short life and when I mean short...I am ONLY 6 MONTHS OLD!!! I already have had 2 problems with my eye (same eye) and I went through some major surgery recently!! But I am being strong for my mommy!

I just got my stitches out the other day and BOY OH BOY does it feel great not to have those things in my back!

Let me tell you what my surgery did for little ol' me! Well, because of in-breeding I have a messed up spine...it goes in every direction. Well, because of this my spinal cord was being compressed which made me not be able to use my back legs and made me have no control of where I pooped and pee'ed. Well, at first mommy and daddy didn't know what was wrong and they had to leave me at some weird place that they call a vet for 2 DAYS!! Boy, was I happy when I got home though. BUT the vet didn't know what was wrong with me...they took these weird pictures of me too!! The human people called them x-rays...they showed them to 2 different doctors and told my mommy and daddy it was going to cost 3000 dollars to get me fixed!! WOW!!! I know that is alot of money!!! At first mommy and daddy were very sad but mommy got on her computer and started talking to people and these people DONATED the money to get me fixed!!! Oh was I happy...until I had the surgery!!! I hurt alot after the surgery for a couple of days, I was VERY sad 3 days after the surgery until my mommy and daddy came and got me!!! OHHHH I could not have been a happier pug! Mommy and daddy have been working with me since then to get the strength back in my legs and GUESS what!!! The other day I started moving them!!! Yea, so my stiches are out andI am on t he road to recovery!!! Hey it may take a long time but I know my mommy will be there every step of the way!

As you can see, I have had something really big go on with me...but I am still a happy little pug that is loving life!
