Best Tricks: shake and up Arrival Story: I started begging for a puppy when I was in preschool. Then, one night in the second grade my dream finally came true. It was about 9 pm and went over to my mom and told her I was exhausted and was ready for bed. She told me to go to watch a movie instead. For a second grader on a school night, this was amazing. We decided to watch Gumbie. About half way through I was falling asleep, so i told my mom I really wanted to go to bed. She kept on telling me again and again to just try to stay up. Eventually I won and went into bed and she said she would sleep in my bed with me. Then she kept on talking and talking like she was trying to keep me awake. Then at around elevenish she called my dad and he said he would be home soon. My mom got all excited and I was just like "ok that's real exciting, mom." Then we heard a car pull up and she was all "HE'S HOME!" and she ran downstairs to greet him. I took this oppertunity to go to sleep. A few minutes later my parents walked in, my mom had the video camera rolling. I looked at what my dad was holding, and there was the most adorable little puppy ever! I was shocked. I was all of a sudden wide awake, and up on my feet petting the nervous little guy. We then went into my parents room where my older brother was watching TV. His mouth just dropped open. I sat down on the floor and my parents laid him in my lap for the first time. I was absolutely in love! Then we took him to my other brothers room to show him, but we couldn't get him to wake up so he didn't find out till the morning.
