Yeah, my Mom is a little ditsy, but I still love her. Is there such a thing as too much attention? Good thing Mom found dogster to spread the love around. She's finding her way, but like anything, it takes a while to figure things out. Mom is hoping that along the way, she doesn't drive anybody nutty.

Today's list of activities -- find a large pile of leaves and frolick. Ah, my super sensitive nose loves the smell of fall in the air. Perhaps today will be my day to catch a squirrel. Those furry creatures drive me absolutely about you?

My dog snores,
sleeps by window;
blissfully unaware his
nemesis lurks in snow,
just beyond frosted glass.

What do you dream
oh faithful companion?
Do rabbits and squirrels
dance in your head?

In your dreams do
you finally catch your
furry prey?
Or are your dreams of
bliss just the great chase?

Do you remember, feel
wind in your face?
A sleep bark makes
me laugh.

I watch your paws
race on invisible ground.
Why do you dream?
Where do you go?
For a few minutes, you
are my bliss.

O.K., so my first picture on Dogster is a little weird. No, I'm not usually dressed in such finery. As you may have guessed, this was my Halloween costume this year. Mom entered me in an online Halloween contest; competition was stiff. A lot of the pictures were hillarious, one poor dog was transformed into a peacock. At least I kept my dignity, sort of. I let Mom dress me up, even though I'm really Dad's dog. My brother, Little Bear, went to heaven in August. Mom misses him a lot, I do too. Mom knows I've been sad and has given me extra attention. It is tough to become an old dog, but all and all life is good.
