Arrival Story:
Lola was at Animal Control for 2 months, and although I was ready to adopt her, there were a couple bureaucratic snafus. After several visits I was finally able to bring her home! It seems she had been returned to the shelter as being "un-housebreakable," but I got her housebroken in just one weekend. She's one smart puppy that just needed a little training :-)

Today I learned to trot alongside my human's "bicycle," a large contraption that goes much faster than my slow-poke human so I can run and run. Also it trains me to pay more attention to her instead of to other dogs passing by.

Also I was pretty well-behaved this weekend at a couple sidewalk cafes. As long as I have some water and a chew toy (I like my new Firehouse Dog one best!), I just hang out under the chair and look ridonkulously cute. Sometimes I can tell that the humans around me get almost exasperated at all the attention I get, but I think they're just jealous :-P

We've been listening to Feist and Amy Winehouse at the house lately. Something slinky about those two (sweetly so for the former, vampy and unapologetic for the later).

Hi everydog. So yes, I'm named after a Kinks song, but there are others people like to sing to me when they learn my name (Sarah Vaughn, Barry Manilow, etc).

I've taken after my human's insatiable appetite for new music, and have so far been listening to everything from Janis Joplin to Neil Diamond to the Strokes and the Donnas.

Living on South Beach is a great way to meet lots of dogs and their humans, most of whom are quite nice. I'll keep you updated on my adventures in the sun.

Pooch smooch,
