Leave a bone for Tam

Nicknames: Poodgie, Mad Dog Tam, Poodgie Bear, Timmy Tam, Tamara, Grumpy Bum

Quick Bio:
 Birthday: February 2nd 1999
Likes: Fetching stuff, ear rubs, leaning on people, chasing ducks, walks

Pet-Peeves: Buffy her sister GWP, having her back legs dried or brushed

Favorite Toy: Tennis balls, but then anything you can throw.

Favorite Food: Not fussy! Garlic sausage, apple, banana, porridge, anything! Has drool glands you have to see to believe!

Favorite Walk: Anywhere you can find ducks.

Best Tricks: speak, spin, roll over, touch things with her foot, touch things with her nose.

Arrival Story: Tam belonged to a friend of the family who didn't want her because she wouldn't swim, so he couldn't do retrieving trials with her. We didn't care about that so Tam came to live with us at 6 months old. She swims now, but it took lots of time with us going for swims with her to build her confidence.

Bio: Tam is ten now so she is retired from competition but she still loves to get some training when I train the young puppy. Her front feet bother her quite a bit now so she has cartrophen every month. She still has lots of walks and lots of cuddles and lots of grumbles. :)
Tam went to the bridge three days short of her 12th birthday. she had bad back arthritis to the pint where she bagan to lose use of her back legs, and when we tried to raise her medication for that, she kept getting pancreatitis, so we had to say goodbye. She was too young to lose, but it's always too soon. Tam, I will always miss your groans and grumbles, your funny bear-like rolling walk, and your head pressed to my leg or side. Didn't we have fun though? xxx
Tam is so high energy, and she just loves her training and fetchy games. She has her CD and is training for CDX, and all done with clicker, toys and treats. She is a velcro dog; always wants to be touching you, except when on walks, when she turns into the disappearing dog, off hunting the bush. Luckily we live where we can allow her this freedom, and she always turns up by the end of the walk, but we have grey hair!

I like our new house because we live with our horse now so I can eat horse poo all day long if I want to. I wish mum wasn't such a killjoy, though. She seems to think that horse poo all over my beard is somehow disgusting. She is obviously not a connoiseur of poo like we smart dogs are. To us it is the best lipstick you can get!
I am extra grumpy right now, because as if one other dog wasn't too much already, now they have gone and got a puppy. She is out-cuting me, and I don't like it. I don't like it one bit.
I do like humping her, though. I have no idea why the humans around here yell at me for tying to hump the puppy. In my book, if they are smaller than you, then hump them while you can. It is the only way to keep yourself up the pecking order. I don't know why I always end up on the bottom of the pecking order around here. Surely being grumpiest of all should earn me some rights?

I mean, really, what sort of nickname is that?
I am a bit growly, I admit, but that is just because I would prefer to be a one dog household. Me! Me! Me! Why can't Buffy just go and live with someone else and leave me all the pats, all the treats, all the toys and all the cuddles?
Mind you, then I wouldn't have anyone else to play with. Sometimes she is nice to play tug of wars with, with mummy's good socks. Then we rip it in half and I eat my half if they don't catch me in time. Luckily I eat it in little bits so it doesn't get stuck in my tummy. Mummy always wears different coloured socks on each foot. I wonder why?
Buffy plays with the cat, but I don't. I think she likes him better than me. Humph! I'm scared of him, except sometimes I get to thinking he might be nice to hump. He soon tells me different!
Winter already! This year the dogbed in front of the fire looks good. I can't help it if that is usually Buffy's spot. This year I want it too. It's not my fault if she is all practically bald, not like a proper GWP at all, not like my lovely hairyness. My worn out bones need toasting so she'll just have to move over! Grumble grumble grumble.
Grumpy butt, they call me, how rude!

Who says that dogs can't handle chainsaws? Why do we have to be shut up in the house when Dad and Mum are tidying up the trees? Humph! I'm at least a ssmart as Dad is. Well, I might be. I've trained him to feed me apple and stuff by doing a whine that he doesn't even notice because he's eating and reading at the same time, but he just feeds me without noticing he's done it, or why! Ha! Humans! They think they are so smart!
I'm glad the weather is getting warmer. I am only seven but my bones have had a hard life. Mum kept telling me to slow down a bit, but hey, life is too short not to go 100 miles an hour all the time.
