Arrival Story: I've wanted to get a puppy to keep my Armani cat company ( I don't think he'd do well with other cats) so I did my research on a lot of different breeds and what would be the right choice for us. And then I saw Gaius' family of puppies and was smitten. I had looked at both pugs and doxies but both have certain health risks that I wasn't sure I wanted to take on. The cross breeding eliminates these issues though, so I get the best of both worlds!
Bio: Gaius is now just over 1 year old and very much resembles the cute little 8 week old puppy I pisked up last November. Most people who see him think that he is a puppy of a couple of months old. Almost everyone is stumped when they try to figure out just what breed cross he is. Even the vet had never seen anything quite like him.
He's really become part of my family and I don't know what I would do without him. Of course, he's still really behind in his training and his antics have the potential too make one mental but you only have to look once at those sweet little puppy dog eyes and it's hard to be mad. He's just so loveable. Good with kids, cats, other dogs, people. He brings happiness everywhere he goes.

1) I have a an unnatural need to chew on absolutely everything. If it fits in my mouth, it's going in there.
2) I admit it, I love cats. It's not normal but I don't care.
3) I love my Mama. I must have her attention at all times. No matter what else she is doing.
4) I have 5 brothers and sisters out there somewhere.
5) The fancy fake name they give my "breed" is Daug.
6) I am named after Julius Caesar, Gaius was his cognomen or first name.
7) My Prenomen, Maximus came from me having a large bum when I was little.
Mmm...I love mornings. Today was a nice quiet, dreamy morning. The light was just breaking through the curtains and I was cuddled up to Mama, my head on her arm and her hand on my head. mmm. nice and sleepy. "Scrape, scrape, scrape, scrape" What's that I wonder. Hmm, must be somebody scraping the frost off the sidewalk. Back to sleep. "skitter, skitter, skitter" Gosh I want to sleep. That must be the squirrel in our ceil...BANG, BANG, BANG!!! The cupboard above the closet slams open! Out falls the iron! Out falls a..Oh MY DOG! It's the SQUIRREL!!! I run! Mama Screams! Armani puffs up like a lion! The squirrel bounces about 4 feet in the air as we all make chase, mama scrambling to get out from under the comforter! It's a fast paced morning today! Wow, a real, live SQUIRREL! We all speed into the kitchen, my butt slides out from under me. Hehe! The squirrel zips across the room, right for the hole under the one cupboard. Gee he's smart, maybe he's been here before. Mama grabs the broom and a box. How the heck did he get his fat little bottom up under that hole so fast? This is soo exciting! Mama opens the cupboard door and pulls out all my food bags. Yay! Mama won't let any of us near the cupboard so I just eats my food. He's way in the back, our little black squirrel. How are we ever gonna get him outta there? mama races back to the main room and grabs the water bottle. Ick, the water bottle. He's doomed now! Mama sprays da squirrel right in the head and all he does is move to the other corner, he sure is brave! Mama closes the cupboard doors and herds us all in to the main room. This sucks. I want that squirrel. She closes all the doors in between and calls the animal control! He's going to come and take my squirrel. That's not fair! So now we wait. Locked in a room by a squirrel smaller than my sister. This sucks.
It's my birfday, it's my birfday, it's my birfday! Yaaaaaay me! I turneded one this morning! I wonder what I'll get? Maybe a treat. No, maybe a bone. No, maybe a ball. Maybe a TOY!!! I'm so excited I could PEE!
