Quick Bio:

Playing with rocks and his toys, going for walks

Other dogs or people in his yard!

Favorite Toy:
He loves rocks! He always brings a new one in with him when he's been outside.

Favorite Food:
Doggy ice cream from Schwan's, a special treat he doesn't get very often.

Favorite Walk:
Around the neighborhood, 2 -3 miles a day, weather permitting.

Best Tricks:
Sitting up and begging, playing catch

Arrival Story:
When we got Chopper he weighed less than a pound! He was so cute and tiny, he went everywhere with me, tucked in my pocket. He's a big boy now, but still lovable as ever. We had a Pom-Poo mix named Chigger, she was with us for 14 years. Chopper misses her so much! He spends a lot of time in the back yard laying over the spot where she is buried.

Chopper developed a cough that the vet thought was his usual allergy. He was put on a medication and was better until the meds were completed, then he started coughing again. More meds, no cough, then back again. He would cough so bad he couldn't breath. They put him on meds again, and he was better. Our vet had scoped him, run blood tests,X-rays, done all he could to figure out what the problem was. He was doing better on meds once again, then we came home from a Christmas party and found him... he was gone. We never found out what the issue was. We miss him terribly.

A new puppy on the way??

Mom and Dad have been talking about a new puppy that might be on the way. That is news to me. Some lady is supposed to call them and e-mail pictures as soon as they are born so they can decide which one to bring home. I miss Chigger, but I am not too sure I want a puppy in my territory! Guess I will have to wait and see what happens. from what the lady said, they should have been born by now, but no word yet. s

Right now dad is gone to Kansas to be an extra in a movie called "Last Ounce Of Courage". It is supposed to be in the theaters in November. Mom and I had to stay home, cause mom has to work, and they will be shooting at weird hours. Since dad is not home it makes me me the "Main Dog" and I bark at every little sound so everyone knows I am here and on guard!

Fun, fun, fun!

Bummer... mom & pop are both on "diets". That means no good treats for me! Mom says it's better for me too. Yea, WHATEVER!

Mom says my Sis is going to manage a new Doggy Day Care that will be opening up here soon. She says that will be great for me to go to once in a while to play. They'll have a pool, and decks with ramps and slides, tv's and toys and all kinds of activities. Sounds like fun to me!

Pop has been working on the shop and garage and mom's craft room and I have been helping. I love being outside when it's cold. Even better when there is stuff going on. More things to investigate. Sometimes I get a bath as soon as mom comes home from work... I don't know why, pop says I was having fun "being a dog". Mom doesn't think so, she says I'm "a mess". It's just a bit of nice, smelly grease or grass stains or mud!

A tree in the house? FOR ME?

They've done it again, the put a tree in house just for me!
I am SURE it's for me, but mom tells me to stay away and dad says to get out from under it, that there is nothing under there for me. I am sure there is though and I keep sniffing around all the packages. Of course I can't sniff them all with them piled up like that, so I have to push them out of the way. Mom keep piling them back up!
I'm not too sure about the guy in the sleigh with the deer that moves. I don't like things I haven't seen before in my house. Especially that move!
I am happy about one thing, all the food that smells wonderful! I don't get many samples, but I am sticking around close to anyone that's eating, just in case. And if one of those kids drops something I'll be right there to clean it up!
