Arrival Story:
In May of 2005, I went to Pasadena Humane Society to apply to adopt a 9 month old red retriever. His waiting list turned out to be full so I went ahead and checked out the other available dogs. I came across this 4 year old freckly dog who had huge smile but at the same time, seemed really in need of a good home. He was circling and anxious and was obviously not doing well being kenneled at the shelter. So, after introducing him successfully with our family dog Charlie, I sprung him. That's how Jan and I became Murray's parents. My husband chose his name Murray because it's Irish for soldier! At his age, he came to us with a short list of behavioral issues that we have been working on for the past 2 years and will continue to work on for the rest of his life. He's a loving and playful companion and his high energy level keeps us busy!

Bio:
One morning in January 2006, Murray and I went on a walk about 1 hr earlier than our usual time. We came across a lady and her dog who amazingly, looked nearly identical to my boy Murray. It turns out that her dog Francesca was adopted as a puppy several years prior from Pasadena Humane Society. Both of our dogs were listed as strays and were found in the same area. Their distinctive spots and coloring nearly guarantee that they are litter mates. What a small world to find my boy's litter mate living 1/2 mile from us!
