Arrival Story:
For a year, my family and I had been looking for an Irish Red and White setter litter. The first breeder we looked into was very reputable and produced beautiful puppies. Unfortunately, the litter we were on the list for was a false pregnancy. Over a course of a month or two we found another breeder. The picture of the bitch looked suspicious, without proper markings, and we were later informed that the breeder was not very trustworthy, so we withdrew. We signed up for a puppy from the first breeder again, but a month later, we were informed that only one puppy would be born, and we weren't first on the list. We considered for awhile getting an easier-to-acquire breed, but the breeder recommended another, from New Jersey, who is in fact the head of the Irish Red and White Setter Association (IRWSA). Her bitch, Rosie, produced a litter of ten gorgeous puppies, four males and six females. Our dog was the one with a "lavender" collar. After much discussion, we named her Maggie.

Maggie is living happily at a full home of two parents and five children! She gets attention and multiple walks daily, and is growing up nicely. She is approximately 42 lb.

Four Seasons Kilronan Maggie:
Maggie is a beautiful, 2-year-old Irish Red and White Setter. Her coat is white with dark reddish-brown spots. She has freckes on the lower parts of her legs, on her stomach, and on her muzzle. She has more dark on the right side of her face than her left. She has a beautiful gait and great agility. We have high hopes for her!

A Walk on Halloween?

A walk on Halloween? I don't think so. The entire time, she was anxiously pulling on the leash and running as fast as she could in whatever way was possible. Between the shouting kids, abnormal costumes, and unusual amount of activity, Maggie was a very anxious dog. When we finally got home after a one-mile walk, she drank some water and began to play somewhat aggressively until I put her back in her crate, where she instantly went to sleep. Poor puppy. Que dia!
