Quick Bio:
-purebred

Likes:
His loofa toy, he is loofa obsessed. He likes other toys too, but he always goes back to the loofa.

Pet-Peeves:
He doesn't like it when his siblings touch his loofa, but he just sneaks in and steals it back when they aren't looking

Favorite Toy:
Well, out of his three loofas that he has, he likes the red one with devil horns and pitchfork. It fits him the best too since he's a little demon himself.

Favorite Food:
We don't feed him people food at all, but he does seem to like my homebaked cookies.

Favorite Walk:
Down the alley to see his mom

Best Tricks:
He can dance where he stands on his hind legs and spins in circles, he also will "give you ten" which is like giving five but with both paws

Arrival Story:
My mom, Tristan (my spouse), my aunt Kathy, my cousin Mindy, and I were at an auction for the catholic school that some of my other cousins went to. They were auctioning off a shih tzu puppy. The breeder donates a puppy every year, and yes, I'm aware that buying a puppy at an auction is one of the stupidest things to do. We bid on him not really expecting to get him, but he was so cute and small and fuzzy, and we really wanted him. We were the highest bidders (and he was tax deductable!) and got to bring him home. He actually turned out to be one of the best quality Shih Tzus that I've seen outside of the show ring. We really lucked out.

Bio:
Right now Tristan and I are fostering Otis because my parents are remodeling their house and the apartment they are staying at will only allow one dog and they have a yorkie named Buddy. Otis was an outside dog so we're teaching him to be good in the house. He also had some aggression problems that we are working on and he's doing much better! It's fun to have a foster son, I'm going to miss him when he goes back to my Mom.

Forums Motto:
I may be small but I'm tough

Two Weeks, One Day

I just got my stitches taken out yesterday! It's so nice to have those out, they kept tugging at my skin and were itchy. I'm starting to feel better too, my face doesn't hurt nearly as much, although it does have it's moments. I'm still a little hesitant to play with my toys, I just remember how much it hurt before right after I lost my eye when I chewed on them. Mom and Dad each had a photo session with me. Mom groomed me today so I look really good! I'll have to post the pictures when my parents put them on the computer. I spend part of the time in the back hallway where I can still see everyone but there is a gate and an ex-pen to keep Milla out. It's nice because I have two bedrooms all to myself (and the cats) and I can either sleep on the bed, or sit on the rocking chair to relax, or I can go in Mom and Dad's room and hang out there. The rest of the time I'm either at work lying behind Mom's feet, in the living room playing/sleeping/getting brushed/getting loved on with Mom and Dad, or out exploring the front yard. It's nice to have alone time.

My Fourth Day As A Cyclops

Well, today Mom couldn't stand it and Dad came up with the idea that they could bathe my body as long as I kept my cone on to keep my head dry. So I had to go through the whole grooming procedure with Mom. That's what happens when your parents are dog groomers. : P Mom did carefully brush most of the knots out of my head though, which is really nice because now my hair isn't pulling. I can't believe how much those doctors messed up my hair! It's like they were purposely trying to make me as matted as possible as well as shaving half my face! What were they thinking? So, it's nice to be shiny and clean again. I still have some knots in my beard because it hurt when Mom tried to get them out.

It's still to soon to play with my coolest donkey toy ever. Mom got him for me in bed and I was so happy to see him! I love chewing on his head and making him squeak. It's so cool! But I used caution and just chewed a little bit, and it still hurt too much to really play. My face is not nearly as swollen though and doesn't hurt nearly as much. Maybe tomorrow Donkey and I will get to play.

On Monday, May 25, 2009 something bad happened.

Milla and I haven't gotten along with each other since we were little. I've tried to keep her in her place but soon enough she was bigger than me! She kept fighting with me but it wasn't too bad, I'm tough, I can take anything, I am a shih tzu! Well, Mom and Dad have been keeping us separated from one another while they work on training Milla. Everything was getting a lot better, Milla wasn't as angry and I was able to feel more comfortable and be more confident when Mom and Dad had her in their control.

Then the fight on Monday happened. Milla stalked up to the gate where I was watching her. I always keep my eyes on her so I know where she is, Mom tries to stop me because I guess it makes Milla insecure or whatever, but I want to know if she's near so I don't get attacked! She started to growl and hit the gate and was being as mean to me as she could. I of course fought back and jumped up on my side of the gate, I wasn't going to let her get away with that! Next thing I know, spots are flying through the air over the gate and on top of me! All I could hear was snarling as Milla pinned me down. I automatically dropped and gave her my stomach, but she didn't care how much I submitted, she really hates me for when I picked on her when she was little. Dad grabbed Milla and pulled her off of me but she had ahold of my ear! It hurt so I yiped! I couldn't hold it, I don't cry a lot but getting your ear bit hurts! Dad finally got her off of me and I ran to the back room while Mom and Dad dealt with Milla. Mom looked at me but I couldn't see her very well and my right eye was starting to hurt. Dad ran over to me and looked really worried then picked me up. Dad carried me over to Grandma's and we got in Grandma's car. Mom was in the back seat crying a lot. Dad kept me still while we drove and put drops on my right eye, but all I could see through my right eye was a little light.

We got out of the car and Mom and Dad rushed me into a building that was really white and clean and smelled like a lot of animals, kind of like Mom and Dad's shop, but scarier. A woman came and took me into the back and put me in a cage. I didn't know what was going on and my eye was really starting to hurt! A man came and looked at me. I wanted my Mom and Dad, I didn't like being with these strange people when I already felt so bad. The rest of the night is a blur, I think the strange people gave me some medicine and I went to sleep.

The next morning Dad and Mom came and picked me up. I was so tired, and the world was kind of spinning. I also had this annoying plastic cone around my head which I still have to wear. On top of all that, I couldn't open my right eye. Mom kept crying and talking about my eye and that it was lost. I don't understand how I could lose my eye, it's always been in the same place, I wouldn't have left it somewhere else. It isn't too bad not having it, but if someone finds it could you please return it to your nearest lost and found? Thank you.

I haven't been able to play with my toys because when I chew my mouth and eye really hurt and it makes me cry, even being the strong shih tzu man that I am. Although just before writing this I was able to lick my donkey toy that I picked out myself at Petco before the accident. I love my donkey toy. It has to be the coolest toy in the world! Well, I did pick it so, duh, it is the coolest toy in the world! Oh right, my story. . .On the plus side Mom and Dad are spoiling me a lot! I get really good canned food, lots of treats, special time in the front yard, only me at the grooming shop (not including customers of course), and a lot of special time in the house with Milla in the backyard. Personally I think she should stay there. I can tell that Mom is really unhappy with Milla, she keeps crying a lot out of no where. I don't really hate Milla any more than I did before. It wasn't like she was trying to pop my eye out or anything. She's more a bite you and pull your ear kind sister, not into the grittier torture like removing body parts. I still do hate her though, don't get me wrong. At least she didn't hurt me in any other way, it would suck to have to deal with bite wounds on top of this!

Besides I'm so freaking adorable that I can completely pull off the one eye look! :D
