Arrival Story:
We really wanted a Westie, and found a woman whose dog just had babies. When we go there, only one Westie was left. It was a little girl who seemed shy, but was very friendly. Her eyes looked a little funny, but the woman told us that they were just not fully developed yet...she was only 7 weeks old. (It turns out that her right eye was blind, and the woman didn't tell us.) It was love at first sight. There was no way I was leaving there without this little dog.
On our way home, she was shaking like crazy. I kept her close to me and gently pet her to keep her calm.
When we got home, we set her down in the kitchen and start walking around and get familiar with things. When she reached the carpet, she didn't know what to do. She had never felt carpet before, and was afraid to walk on it. It was the funniest thing ever.
Roxy is so perfect and so sweet. We love her as if she was our first child. I wouldn't trade her for anything in this world.
