Arrival Story: I had been looking around for an opportunity to get another dog for a few months. My boyfriend wasn't too sure he was ready for another one just yet. Then we saw an add on the internet with pups for sale. We checked the pictures and immediately my bf was very taken by him. We talked to the owner and she invited us to come see the dogs later that week. We went to visit and played with the puppies and chatted with the owner for over an hour! We met the mother (a husky/american white shepherd mix) who was very calm and kind. I told my bf he could pick whichever puppy he wanted as they were all very beautiful and it would essentially be his dog. It seemed like Zeppelin picked us! He came into our laps over and over and would look right into our eyes when we talked to him! So off we went that very night with yet another family member.
Jagger and Zeppelin get along great and always want to be together! Zeppelin is quite silly and doesn't seem too rushed too learn many tricks. But he sure loves to cuddle and talks to us often with howls and rumbling barks!
Bio: His father is a cockapoo and his mother is a husky/american white shepherd mix. He obviously has some terrier somewhere as his face is all scruffy and he has a beard!

The Last Forum I Posted In: Do you walk your dog(s) after dark?
Obedience: Zeppelin is working on learning the command "Enough" (stop barking) and to walk nicely on a leash without his harness.
Hey there,
Well I've been feeling a little out of sorts lately. Mom and Dad have noticed I can't seem to stop chewing on my feet and licking my...uh... behind. And Mom doesn't think it's the food because I was doing those things before we switched to the yummy Acana Lamb. Finally, Mom said "to the Vet with you"! Eek! I was nervous, but my buddy Jagger came with me. What a pal, eh?
The vet said I have an infection at the base of my nail on my little toe, which is why I've been licking it so much. And when Mom asked about my glands, the vet checked them and emptied them! Wow!! Did that ever feel GOOD! I'm so much better now! I have to take pills, but Mom hides them in yummy wet food or sardines (as if I don't notice!). And my behind isn't so bothersome anymore. Yay for me, and, hum, well yay for the vet too!
On a happier note, Mom is taking really good care of me. I might just become a momma's boy, not daddy's boy (don't tell him that). She is trying to find somewhere to start agility with me soon, and today, we even went rollerblading! My favorite! Well, I'll keep you informed, cross your fingers for me.
Well pups, I guess Mom isn't too sure what to feed me anymore. I reacted really badle to Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul, I must be allergic to something. We eventually switched to Acana Grain Free Lamb and I like it ok.
But Jagger and I are skipping meals a lot more than before... And I still feel the need to chew on my feet and clean my... tail area... pretty often. Mom isn't sure if it's because I am bored, or if the food is bothering me a bit, or if it's me being weird, or any other thing. She said she wants to bring me to agility!! That would be fun! I'd love to get out of the house for something dog-related.
Anyways, in the meantime, we are trying a fishy food. Not suspicious fishy, haha, but fish based. It's Acana Pacifica. I'm not sure about it yet, but we'll see!
