Birthday: November 22nd 2006 Likes: Gromit Pet-Peeves: Not being with Gromit Favorite Toy: Gromit, jolly ball Favorite Food: what fell off dad's plate? Favorite Walk: West Cliff Drive in Santa Cruz Best Tricks: Not playing with Gromit? Is that a trick? Arrival Story: We have had two dogs for the last 9 years and when we "lost" Zoe to cancer, we thought that we would stay a one dog household, but Gromit changed all that. He started to show signs of depression, so we decided to look for a "sister" for him. We looked high and low. The we though that we should just go back through Home at Last. They helped us find her. Even to the point of taking her for a drive to make sure she travels well. They are the best! Bio: Moxie has pretty much grown up in the shelter. She had a home then was turned back into the shelter after a little over a week. She found a home again and was sent back after another week. She is a little piss ant, that's why! But that is why Gromit loves her and we love her. Well we had been wondering about Moxie's shedding. Then she got Bronchitis and she still has had no energy. So we took her to the vet yesterday to get her checked. So the vet sent in blood work for possible thyroid being too low.
The radiologist said that it was a mild to moderate case of bronchitis. So we were on the right drugs and dosages for what she had.
We have a few days left of the Cefelexin and another week of the Prednisone and we may be good. If she gets to coughing again we need to revisit the anti-biotic and the Prednisone.
Paws crossed it is not needed.
She is looking much better today and was better yesterday than the day prior, so each day is a new gift!
No word yet from the vet, but she is more like her self for a longer period of time.
Only time will tell, but it was good to see the old Moxie bringing me a rope to play with while I was on the phone with Sassy's mom.
She is sleeping in her bed now, but she only let out one small cough and she even got out and ran with Gromit..........so things must be better.
paws crossed!
Thanks for all the love that has been sent our way. Power of the paw is a real thing.
