Arrival Story:
R.I.P Kassie 9/3/10. You were on this earth for 16 1/2 years and blessed me with you for 14 1/2. No more pain, run free my angel till we meet again! Kassie was adopted in 1996 from the county animal shelter in NJ where I lived at the time. She was the first dog I saw when I was walking up to the shelter, as it was a nice spring day and many of the dogs were outside with the volunteers. She came right up to me and started kissing me and it was love at first sight.

Bio:
From what I understand, Kassie was turned in to the shelter because her previous owners were moving and could not take her. She is a wonderful, well trained and happy dog. Although she had been fixed before I got her, she has a very strong maternal instinct and when I got Bandit as an 8 week old pup, she immediately took over in the mommy role. She loves her role as "mom" to all the dogs, she grooms all of them, whether they like it or not! She's the family matriarch.
