Laying on the couch with his mommy and getting his head scratched

Having to be moved to the middle of the bed when its bedtime, and he is already perfectly comfortable right where he is

Favorite Toy:
He loves his tennis balls and his squeaky red ball

Favorite Food:
It would be a toss up between popcorn, bananas, & Frosty Paws

Favorite Walk:
He doesn't care where his walk is as long as he gets to be outside (even in the snow and below freezing temperatures!)

Best Tricks:
'Sit', 'Down', 'Time for bed', and doing the opposite of what you're telling him to do

Arrival Story:
Jackson was born in a pound where he was adopted by a girl and her boyfriend. He lived at the boyfriend's house, but all of a sudden the boyfriend had to move back home where Jackson wouldn't be allowed to live. The girl couldn't take him either since her rental property did not allow pets. While the girl tried to find a home for Jackson (she didn't want to take him back to the pound if she didn't have to), they had to keep him at the boyfriend's grandma's house. (We don't think he was treated very well there since to this day Jackson has a little bit of a fear of older people; especially with canes.) After 4 months of searching for a new home for Jackson she came into her rental property office (where I happened to work) to hope for some sympathy to be able to keep Jackson at her house. I overheard the story and told her I was interested in him. The next day my husband and I went to meet him and it was love at first sight. She dropped Jackson off at our home the next day. Now I don't seem to remember life without him.

Some other things Jackson likes to do are wrestling with his daddy, playing with his "cousin" Rocky (Boston Terrier), cuddling on the couch, barking at and chasing after squirrels, eating things he's not supposed to, & napping.

My mommy told me yesterday that we're moving! And we get to move back to the state that my mommy and I were born in (Indiana). My mommy and I are really excited because we get to be with daddy again. He had to leave in January for his new job, so he has been living there all this time. I really miss him cause I've only seen him a couple of times.

Only one more month to go and we can all be together again in our new home!

Today is a very sad day. My friend Nisha passed away. :o(

She was such a nice girl. She's the one that I would walk with for the 'Bark in the Park' walk for the HSCA. I'm really gonna miss her, and I know that her family and a lot of other friends are going to miss her, too. She would have been 12 years old on 4/21/06.

We love you, Nisha!

20th Annual Humane Society for Companion Animals Bark in the- Park walk

This year my mom and I are participating in the 20th Annual BARK IN THE PARK walk for the Humane Society for Companion Animals (HSCA) on Saturday, May 6, 2006!! I'm really excited – it’s a really fun day and I get to help my animal friends who need homes! You see, my owners and I want more animals out there to have a wonderful home like mine, and we realize that the HSCA is an organization that does just that – takes care of animals and finds them homes.

Proceeds from the BARK IN THE PARK will help provide food, shelter and medical care to those animals. For those of you who don't know (and even those who do), the HSCA is the animal shelter in St. Paul and Woodbury, Minnesota. They receive no government funding and they are an open admission shelter, and have no time limits once adoptable animals are available. They are the oldest sheltered animal organization in Minnesota, founded in 1878! They are dedicated to helping thousands of animals get the second chance on life that they need. All the money that is raised at the BARK IN THE PARK and all the funds that HSCA raises throughout the year stays in our local community, helping the homeless animals in St. Paul, Woodbury, the east metro region and surrounding areas. The HSCA has also rescued quite a few animals from Hurricanes Rita and Katrina.

This will be my 3rd year participating in the BARK IN THE PARK walk. Last year I raised $100, and I'd like to raise more than that this year!

If you're interested in donating, please send me an e-mail no later than May 5, 2006 and my mom will get back to you on what you need to do. Any amount will do! (Did I mention that your donation will be tax deductible?)

On behalf of myself, my mom and all the animals at HSCA, thank you for your support!

Woof! Woof!
