From Straw to Satin

When I was born I lived in an old shed with my family. It was kind of cold, especially after my brothers and sisters all left. One day I heard people talking and the owner of my mother came in looking for me. I had straw stuck to me because I was buried down in it having a nap. I was picked up and brought out and there stood a lady with a big, kind smile on her face. She took me in her arms and I remember thinking of such love and comfort. She told the man that I was going home with her. Which I did. The car was so warm and her gentle hands made me feel like I must be in heaven. When we reached "home" she gave me a warm bath and dried me gently with a big soft towel. I still have that towel to this day. I love my "Mom" and have the best life in the whole world. I have special food that she cooks for me. I sleep in the big bed with her every night (no more straw), sometimes we sleep on satin sheets. When I don't feel good she takes me to see my good friend Mike. He is my doctor. I have toys to play with and my favorite is my ball. I love my life and to thank "Mom" for bringing me home with her I give her all the kisses that she wants. Boston kisses she calls them. She says they are the best kind. I love my "Mom" and I know she loves me. She tells me all the time.
