Dads working night shift now

Crossed the Bridge

I crossed the bridge on July 6th, no more pain, no more help getting in moms Tahoe or on the king size bed. I have had a wonderful life since rescued 5 years ago from mean parents. I have been spoiled and loved more than any dog could know, if you know, you are a lucky dog like me...Dont feel sad, be glad that I was a happy well loved dog and have friends in heaven.

Feeling Good

I am feeling great and full of more energy than before, but still enjoy my couch, that will never change. My incision is about 90 percent healed, would of been healed already but I just can't keep my tongue away from it, yum....I want to thank everyone for all their support and well wishes, it worked....I plan on living a long happy life just
as any boxer rescue.

My tumor is cancerous

Well, mom and dad decided to have some growths removed on me since I was going to be under anesthesia for my ear hematoma surgery...again...the tumor on my right leg came back as mast cell type II and told mom they give me 2 months.....that was last Friday,
March 13th. Grama is watching me while mom and dad are at work this week and will pick me up Thursday.....Grama was crying this morning because I ripped out my staples, I have no idea how it happened and neither does she? Back to the vet again today to put new staples in, I didn't even cry because I am Mugsy "Man". Today is the first day that I ate since being at grama and gramps, she made chicken and rice for me, yum! yum! and I had a banana for dessert.
Grama has been watching me like a hawk to make sure she doesn't have to take me to the vet again, I love Dr. Coddee, but rather cuddle with grama on the couch. I heard mom and dad are picking me up tomorrow night and mom is taking all next week off work to watch me like a hawk also. I am so glad I am at Grama's instead of the kennel at
the vet's, they are nice there, but Grama really spoils me.

Birthday

This has been the best birthday (6 years young) that I have ever had.
We all got canned dog food which is only given on special occasions, and raw hide treats. Tonight we are getting midnight desert from dad which is individual pound cake topped with whipped cream, mom always lets me lick the whipped cream off her coffee on our weekend run to starbucks.....luv whipped cream!!!!!! We luv the weekend car rides to starbucks.....we just luv the ride!
But, the best present ever is that our "Boo Boo" cat who has been missing for 2 weeks showed up on "my" birthday,,,,skinny and fraile, but she showed up........mom and dad were thinking the worst because Boo Boo has never been gone before, she either sleeps with "Sunny" aka fat cat who is her guardian because fat cat, he watched her being born and her mother Eartha Rae who lives with us has nothing to do with her, it's just unusual that a male cat would bond with a female cat 8 years ago, they are very close. Mom says we can't say what we really call Eartha Rae.....but it starts with the letter B, but we still luv her. Out of all the cats (4) Boo Boo luvs us the most.
If we are gone for any length of time it is Boo Boo that rubs all over us and walks under our bellies our tickles us with her tail. She is still not out of the woods, she is currently on moms bed in a blanket while mom keeps watch over her.....she tries to meow but her voice is very hoarse, mom says she must be dehydrated and gave her canned food and milk....she only had a little bit, we are hoping for the best for our Boo Boo, please keep her in your prayers, she is the best cat that a dog could wish for!!

Daddy's Home

Mom and dad are upset because dad fractured his right foot tripping over a curb in the hospital parking lot...........when he was "leaving" the emergency for a migraine and shortness of breath.
So, it was back to the e.r. ...........again...he is in a non-weight bearing cast. Mom is not happy because she is having to wait on him and do his and her chores both..............she hates picking up our poop, it makes her gag, so she holds her breath, it smells fine to me!
I am happy because I get to lay around with dad all day and cuddle with him, he calls me his cuddle bug.
Sometimes I have to take turns with Rocky because he gets jealous and cries, but I get to do most of the cuddling.
Dad will be home for at least 3 more weeks...........yeah!!!!
I'm a little more excited about it then mom is ???? go figure??

Cuddle Time

Dad got switched to the night shift for Sacramento County, he is not happy about it, but said he will make the best of it.
I like it because I get to sleep in with him in the mornings now and cuddle.
He gets home at midnight, so its not too bad, I woke up and gave him a kiss when he got home then went back to sleep.
I heard mom telling someone she got a lot done while he was at work and I think she is happy that she doesn't have to cook every night like she was doing. She did laundry last night, scrubbed the bathtub and even got out her glue gun and worked on a baby shower gift basket, she hasnt had the glue gun out in long time! then she wrapped lots of presents that she put in the basket, I even saw her with blue spray paint and ribbon? She looked very pleased with her finished product. I sure hope Rocky doesn't get into it, he gets into everything!! I am now the head watch dog since dad is gone in the evenings and am trying to train Rocky, but he is so hard headed, HaleyRae is my back up and she's tough. Everyone is adjusting well, except for dad..........mom says to give him time.
