Best Tricks: Winking at you when you talk to her, huffing/talking to you when you aren't doing what she wants

Arrival Story: I wanted a puppy my whole life, and when my Dad retired from the military, we finally bought a house with a yard. He teaches High School and one of his students' families had puppies, so they gave us a great deal on her and I've had her since I was 16 years old. I even chose my undergraduate and graduate schools based on her!

Bio: Button was an amazing dog. She grew up in Tucson, AZ as an only and very spoiled dog. Her yard was almost half an acre and she was very good at catching birds, rats and any other thing unlucky enough to venture into the yard. In June 2003, she moved with me to Philadelphia so I could begin grad school at Penn. She adjusted very well to city life (without a yard), except for Trolleys (see pet peeves), and enjoys the fact that any time she goes out, I have to go with her! She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in July, 2004. Her front left leg was amputated on July 30th, and she started chemo on July 31st. She did wonderfully as a tripod and was pain free until December 7th, when she started suffering from osteosarcoma metastases to the abdomen. Button became a doggy angel on December 9th to prevent her from suffering anymore due to this awful cancer. She was the apple of her mom's eye and will be sorely missed always.
