Likes: belly rubs! just cuddling with someone. playing in the pond, chasing the girls.

Pet-Peeves: being alone! hearing cats meow outside the door when he can't get to them

Favorite Toy: stuffed squeaky hedgehog, but he's not that into toys. He prefers to play with other dogs.

Favorite Food: yummy chummies!! salmon. Nature's Recipe kibble.

Favorite Walk: anywhere, as long as he's with a friendly person

Best Tricks: If you stop petting him, he ducks his head under your arm to convince you to keep going.

Arrival Story: Kodi once lived with a family and his dog buddies Lexus and AJ (both adopted). When that family moved, they abandoned all 3 dogs and just left. A neighbor took them to the Geauga Co Dog Shelter. That's where Husky Havoc RRT met him. We pulled him from the shelter and took him into foster care until his forever family saw his photo and fell in love. He now lives with a family of 4, another dog to play with, and some miniature horses to chase in the pasture. Kodi couldn't be happier!

Bio: Kodi is a gentle loving boy. If he could get belly rubs all day, he would never turn right-side up. Like most Northern breeds, he is very strong and can be stubborn; they also hate to be left alone. They're pack dogs, and Kodi found the right pack to cuddle with him for the rest of his life. He's good with other dogs, great with kids (even those under 5). He'll protect people and property. Best kept away from cats and smaller animals; all Northern breed dogs have high prey drives. Life as a foster dog has been pretty good so far...always food in my belly, and treats (have you ever heard of Yummy Chummies?? If not, ask your human to get some for you)...and a nice soft bed to sleep on in a room that's not too hot not too cold. And other dogs to play with too! Their names are Paikea (she's a purebred Siberian) and Neenah (a northern breed-GSD mix like me, only about half my height). They love to play in the pond with me, so I get to spend my days playing outside and then cuddling up with my foster moms. They even took me to a place called PetCo, where people just walked right up to us to pet me (how cool is that?!), and I got to play with little kids. I really like kids, they bring out the big protector in me.
The only thing I don't like is...TheCrate. It's scary. I know I'm a big guy and I should be all tough and macho and all, but crates just freak me out. I destroyed something called a Life Stages crate and I hurt myself in the process...nothing serious (not sure why fostermom got weirded out), just some cuts and scrapes. But it was off to THEVET's. Paikea said that was actually a scarier place than THECRATE, but I think she was making that up. I liked the vet lady, even though she stuck needles in me (did she just give me Rabies?! that's what they kept saying). She pronounced me to be in good health, just crate-o-phobic. Now I have meds, and special 'crate treats' (those are worth walking into the crate though!), and we're working on it. Foster moms say I'm making great progress in a short time. Cool.
