Arrival Story: Dawkin found his way to rescue when he became partially blind and his owners could not afford the suggested surgery or evaluation by a canine opthalomologist. He has very little vision left and his eyes were changing in appearance daily; we knew we had to act quickly.
Dawkin is only eleven months old and is an otherwise healthy, happy and active puppy. Most people don’t realize he is partially blind when they meet him, but our little boy has to sniff out the treats rather than see them. We make sure he has plenty.
Dawkin has settled in very nicely with his foster family and has a series of appointments with specialists to determine our options. We are happy to say Dawkin’s prognosis looks very, very promising with a high rate of surgical success.
Please come back and visit Dawkin for further updates. Donations for the surgery and his continued medical care are sincerely appreciated and can be made on our home page.
