Arrival Story:
Little Napoleon came from a vet clinic in Glen Rose, Texas. Some man had a pregnant Dachshund and could not afford her vet bill, so he traded her puppies in for the bill, and the clinic adopted out the puppies. I saw him on Petfinder and fell in love with his beautiful little face immediately. We went and got him the next day!
Bio:
True to his name, Napoleon is a little fighter. He was hospitalized for a week with leptospirosis, a bacteria that affects liver and kidney functions. He also had ehrlichia, a tick-borne disease. So far he is recovering well and back to his normal, happy, playful, piggy self. He enjoys snoozing while snuggling up to Mom, attacking his big sister, burrowing under the blankies, eating and pouting. He is a sweet little angel most of the time, except when he is a typical sassy puppy.

Did you guys know that my sister Brooklyn is a celebrity?? She was picked to be Miss October for a calendar to benefit Dallas Dog Parks. She is so beautiful and now she is officially a supermodel! She had her photo shoot yesterday at Turtle Creek and I got to go too.
It was really hot outside so mommy was carrying me, but then she decided to let me walk a little bit. I love to walk on the leash - it is SO fun! I just trot along and wag my little tail. We walked a really long way so mommy had to carry me again but that made me really MAD. I squirmed and cried. I am a big boy and I wanted to walk!! I especially wanted to catch up with my sister!

After all of that we went to the West Village and got some yummy treats at Dog Specialties. Then we went home and I snoozed the rest of the day. It was such a fun day.

Wow! Hi everyone. My name is Napoleon and I am excited to have an audience. My Dogster profile gives everyone my basic info so let's just move on to my daily life...
Yesterday Mom took me on my first walk. I got the hang of it almost instantly and by the end was trotting happily toward home. It was the cutest thing Mommy's ever seen.
Today the neighbor dogs were barking at me when I was trying to go potty and it scared me!! Sometimes I can be a weenie weiner.
Tomorrow I am getting my 9-week puppy shots! Oh boy!!!
